The biggest issue now is that Chelsea play before us 4 out of the next 5 games, only out game v West Ham is before theirs that weekend. This is a massive factor again and I think it's quite unfair. It should be rotated. I know we've played first the last two weeks but we were 10 points behind 2 weeks ago.

I hope even if Chelsea go and win their games it doesn't wear the team down playing after them like it did last season when we played every fucking Monday for about a year.
Actually, 2 of those games it's a good thing for us. Chelsea play Southampton 1 day before we play Palace but they play them 3 days after the semi final, with Southampton having 1 week extra rest, where as we play Palace 4 days after the semi and Palace have 1 day less rest than us. Also, they play Watford 3 days after they play West Brom, where as we play Leicester 5 days after we play Utd.

It is annoying how for the second year running we're the team playing after the other contender practically every time.

In terms of our fixtures I'm actually more worried about Palace and Leicester away than I am Arsenal and United at home. We've just been so majestic at times at home I feel really confident about us there but we can look a little flat away from home.

Yeah that's the good thing, that I think it's more about us then them, certainly with the Palace game anyway, still not sure about how 'revived' Leicester really are but time will tell. I would say the same about the United and Arsenal games, that they're more about us. Really think we should be winning both of those games. The way we've played against City and Chelsea give good hope that we'll perform well again too.

leicester out of the CL, now no possible circumstances where 4th doesn't qualify for next year's CL

The extremely nervous or pessimistic should now breath a little easier :D

They once won 8-0 on the final day I think.

Chelsea 8 - 0 Wigan

Chelsea recaptured the Premier League title in emphatic fashion as Wigan Athletic were thrashed at Stamford Bridge.

Carlo Ancelotti's side needed victory to end Manchester United's three-season reign as champions - and once Nicolas Anelka gave them the lead after only six minutes there was never any doubt they would reclaim the crown.

Valid point.

But...

That season Chelsea scored 103 ****ing goals. 103.

They scored 3 or more goals in a match 15 times that season. Of those 15 times, they scored 4 goals 3 times. 5 goals twice.

They scored 7 goals that season three times.

They scored 8 goals one game.

They finished the season with a ****ing +71 GD!!!

In comparison, this season Chelsea have scored three or more goals 11 times (6 matches remaining). 4 goals twice. 5 goals once.

This is not your older brother's Chelsea.

It's definitely true on Luiz. He picked up a knee injury in that tackle from Aguero and has played on never the less. He's very get-at-able right now, Palace and United targeted him with pace and it worked a treat.
He's definitely the one to watch in that backline, although I don't think Palace targeted him due to injury as that game was before the City game. I think Fat Sam had Benteke and Zaha drive at them, specifically Luiz because he knows the guy has a tendency to self destruct.

@nicdic Why do you disagree?
Because I don't think playing last is necessarily a bad thing, and don't think we need to fear going away from home. Our away form isn't as bad as people are making out. Las 6 away games, only City and United are in better form. We also had a front loaded season in terms of away games at the top 7 which has skewed the perception all year.

Btw, Man United hold 2 records.
The highest points not to win the league (89) which we could equal.
The lowest points to win the league (75) which means we're 4 pointd short of a title winning tally.

Fair enough. I don't think it's automatically a bad thing but it would be nice to have the capability to add any little additional pressure. I guess so, I think the only real disappointing away result was Sunderland and Bournemouth away unless I've forgotten any others, I don't even think a draw away to West Brom is a terrible result, we probably should have seen that game out with 3 points from the first half chances so that's probably the only real disappointment. We got away with it at Swansea but we dominated the game and you could say were a bit unlucky to go a goal down. Palace will be a good test to see where we're at away from home.
