I think we could trade down twice. If the right offers are there. And boost our 2024 and 2025 picks, its a long term plan but would see us set up to really starting competing properly for the next decade if its pulled off correctly.

I fully expect us to mess it all up though and rot away with the Lions for the the next few years.

Thought this was fascinating. About 1300 players responded ranking their team on various things like facilities, food, weight rooms, family services, travel, ect

Apparently the Cardinals will charge players for meals and dock their paycheck.

It'll depend on how desperate teams want the likely choice of Young and Stroud.

Carter getting arrested has maybe made it less palatable to trade down and instead the Bears just pick Will Anderson at #1.

I'm more concerned how the Raiders will play this - do we trade up aggressively to nab one of the two QB's? Sit at 7 and take a flyer on Richardson/Levis or do we seek the alternative in FA and perhaps just trade back for more picks.

Richardson's combine and athletic ability were incredible but end of the day, he's there to make throws and that's still the big concern.

I know Richardson put on an absolute show of athleticism at the combine but i wouldn't take a flyer on him in the top 10 which is (at this moment) where he seems to have landed himself.

@LSUY can probably speak to it better, but i watched him in about 5-6 games last year.....for every moment of eye-popping athleticism there would be 10-15 moments that made it look like he just didn't understand how to play QB at a level anywhere close to what is needed for the NFL.

Physically he's a freak so he'll always be a big play threat but he struggled with accuracy and adjusting to coverage disguises - probably the leading cause of his interceptions. Whoever drafts him will have to sit him for a year while he's coached. Given that he's only had one season as a starter in which he was very inconsistent taking him in the top 10 is a big gamble.

Gutted about the Thielen news as a Vikings fan. Knew it was likely but still brings an end to an era. Him and Kendricks were both incredibly popular in the locker room too. I suspect there’s at least one more big exit to come before Wednesday’s salary cap deadline.

Think we are in a kind of rebuild mode. Roumors about Cousins could be traded. Cook will be hard to move on as he just had another shoulder surgery. Was Roumors he could be on the move.
Gutted about Thielen as well brings an era to an end as you say.

Yeah I think the plan is to blow it up this year, free up enough cap to pay Jefferson and get enough draft capital / or a high enough pick to draft a QB early in 2024. It’s gonna be a rough season I think. Really tough schedule too so a top 10 pick is definitely possible.

Edit: Cam Dantzler cut and noises that Harrison Smith will follow.

And the bears traded their 1st pick for No. 9, a 2nd, a first in 2024, a 2nd in 2025 and DJ Moore. Carolina receives... The top pick.

Great haul by the Bears. Good draft capital and a WR1 for a pick that they openly did not want.

Panthers have mortgaged their future big time on what I presume will be between Young and Stroud.

As for the Bears, it's a great deal and if someone like Jalen Carter drops to them due to off field issues then they'll be laughing!

For the Raiders however this has killed chances of a top 3 QB unless we move but more realistically I think we now look to FA for the QB (Jimmy G?, urgh) or we are rolling with Stidham and having one eye on tanking for Caleb Williams in 2024.

Very happy with that deal, gives us a good number of picks and a WR1. Now lets use this cap space we have to start building.

Seems a lot to give up when there isn't a consensus No.1 QB this year and no "sure thing".

Watch four of them becoming HOFers after me saying that.

WHEN I SAID DO SOMETHING I DIDN'T MEAN LET CAM SUTTON WALK!

Our best CB last year. Hope they have a good plan for the draft as Sutton going will only increase the pressure from fans and the media.

Pats bring back Jonathon Jones on a good contract and got someone to take Jonnu Smith off our hands....good start.

If Aaron Rodgers decides to retire rather than go to the Jets after they lose Mike White to Miami.....i may laugh so hard i cry a little bit.

Still pretty sure Rodgers ends up on the Jets though... he is worlds better than Zach Wilson so that sucks.

Well what an interesting day. On paper the Fins, Bears, 49ers, Broncos and Commies seem to have addressed needs, but will that translate to the field when you factor in coaching changes / QB situations. Mind you the 49ers front three DL is mighty mean looking.

Bengals and Eagles D taking a hit.

Jimmy G to Vegas, on the books for a while, some merit there.

No news on Rodgers, so the Jets are hanging.

Rams paying a heavy price for the way they built their title winning team, so a full blown re-build.

Will Snyder take a punt on Lamar, just to give the middle finger to all the other owners ?

Rodgers to Jets all done and official. The 2023 draft pick compensation looks about right but the Jets might look back on the conditional 1st round pick they give up in 2024 and think that was steep. Especially if Rodgers decides to retire after 1 year in New York.
