I don't really think there is any great need to pick apart what Pochettino said and then what he meant. Throughout the presser he was smug, lighthearted and flippant, and the ball just started rolling. Most of it was not said to be taken very seriously.

I don't for one second believe that Poch means that if we win the CL he's going to quit, but just to be clear, if it came to a choice between winning the CL and losing him, or not winning the CL and keeping him, I'd take the big pot and say "thanks Poch, and goodbye" without any qualms at all.

Spurs being champions of Europe would be worth more to me than anything else football-related in the world. If you offered me the trophy but told me that we would then lose every single person I love - manager, players, whatever- at the club, I'd rip your arm off.

Love Poch but he's such a weird communicator sometimes. Not even to do with his English...it's fine. Saying you "will go home" if we win the competition on the eve of a must win game to get to the final adds an unnecessary subplot. And if we lose he looks foolish because it'll be "haha he has to stay at Spurs".
