I’d love to know what’s happening behind closed doors. Yes we’ve got injuries but some of our best players have looked like they don’t a shit for a couple of months now. Is Poch starting and/or has lost the dressing room?

Alli and Eriksen have been dreadful, our once supreme defender in Toby looks accident prone as does Sanchez and Lloris, Dier is a shadow of his former self, Son was outstanding but has been pants the last month or so, Trippier just LOL. The only players who have been consistently good this season are Vertonghen and Sissoko, and Kane in dribs and drabs but he’s certainly not shown the form of when he was scoring from here, there and everywhere and smashed it what was it? 5/6 hat-tricks in the season.

every player you mentioned all played in the WC, the only 1 that has been good this season is Vertonghen, did his injury lay off recharge his batteries

Mate lot's of other clubs had player's at the WC and in some cases only departed a few days before we did so we can't keep making excuses.
I don't believe poch has lost the dressing room because the videos that came out after we scraped through against city suggest otherwise, but certainly the season as a whole and more worryingly since Feb when the media made reference that it was a three horse race(which I always maintained wasn't) since then the defeat against Burnley a collapse which only this club could do in such style.

People suggesting Poch is responsible for our crap end to the season are the same people begging him to bring Janssen off the bench to score the winner.

Give me a break. The fact that Poch has been forced to bring Janssen on against his will is the exact reason we have got so bad. Players are looking at our bench and seeing Janssen and Skipp sat there. The psychology of the players right now must be a mess and I don’t blame them, and I don’t blame Poch.

Mate, Poch is the chump who bought Jansen. He is also the chump who decided not to buy replacements in the last windows.

you know why it is - its because we very rarely buy proven, top class, winners who have been under pressure situations before, and come through it.

we buy from the tier below, where in all likelihood, with a few exceptions, they lack the mentality. so they hone their trade here, and get picked up by a top club where they get carries through by genuine winners until they’ve learnt it and can cope with it.

and Poch is the same - he’s learning. he will, and has, made mistakes.

until we make big statement signings (and i’m not talking about spending £70M on Zaha, another proven loser), it won’t change.
Imagine now being able to sign a player in the vein of Edgar Davids.

other than Man C, please tell me a team that had 12 players play at the world cup, with 9 of them playing all games bar 1 match. please make sure you give me a list, because in all honesty your talking bollocks

With all due respect to the ITKs, I’m yet to hear a coherent explanation for what happened in the TWs that comes close to convincing me Levy isn’t responsible.

Trix seems to suggest that Poch is the one who is to blame for turning down all the players he was offered, but also suggesting it was DL who ballsed up big time on Grealish. Hercules seems to think it’s Levy’s fault, and JJ sits somewhere in between.

Hercules posted the following on 31st of Jan:
Do not blame Levy here!!!

Poch happy with his lot.

I dissagree with him. But he has earned the right. Summer will be another interesting situation.

I suppose both (Levy and Poch) are responsible.

Mate from memory there is a WC every four years so are you suggesting that in another three years time we can expect another shit show because some of our player's might be tired because if so that is bollocks mate, team's can still win thing's after WC clubs in other countries can still do it so what is the problem.

The grealish thing was a fuck up on our side and the reason I know this is because one of my mates is a villa ST holder seen pictures of him with the owner etc but also very close to grealish family.
He was a whisker away from joining and and by all accounts informed a few that he was joining us until the usual bollocks over goal post moving.

Someone like, oh I don't know, Luka Modric.

The mentality he'd bring, and the education he could give the likes of Winks & Skipp would be invaluable.

Very much like Davids did with Carrick.

Most of our competition had players at the WC yet you don’t see them having piss poor seasons on the level a chunk of ours have. Look at Walker he went off the boil when we knew he was off... Toby hasn’t been the same since last summer and Eriksen has been woeful.

Whatever happens this season there's gonna be a massive overhaul in the squad and considering Poch doesn't rate maddison or Tielemans then the players coming in are going to be amazing....

You'd expect, given the excuses we've had
Except that if we end up in the Europa League, buying players who will improve our squad will become immeasurably harder (since we don't offer insane wages).

How many other clubs had as many players at the WC as we did? For as long as we did? I don't mean the group stages, go out and then come home and put their feet up, I mean all the way through to the final.

It doesn't matter whether we are in CL or Europa League we will struggle to get the right player's in wages and fucking about on deals will see more of what we have experienced before.

I think Toby has been excellent this year, actually.

Suggest you have read of what Klopp said before the season started about us and the number of players we had in the later stages of the World Cup.

so you can't produce a list of Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Liverpool players that played in the WC.

if we have 9 or 10 players reaching the final stages it will be even worse. the conditions they will be playing will be even more draining.

this season only Man C, and Chelsea have played more games than us, and both have squads a lot stronger thanks to owners with money to burn
