Although I believe both poch and levy have a good relationship, if they didn't poch wouldn't in an interview say "that litlle tight-arse bald fucker? He fucks me off like you wouldn't believe, in gonna fuck his wife just to piss him off and because i can" would he?

The day levy pisses off poch by continually not doing what he wants or go behind his back is the day poch leaves.
I know its the window and journos are asking questions non stop, but I don't think its a coincidence he's regularly mentioning the need for signings. Hes a respectful chap so he wouldn't ever straight up criticise, but he is 100% sending hints left, right and centre at the moment.

I guess there's just straight up no way for it not to be Levy's fault then even when the manager comes out and says it isn't.

Instead it's clearly Levy's fault because Poch is dropping hints left and right despite Poch giving the reasons why it's hard, and that it's difficult to persuade players to want to compete with the players we already have.

I'm firmly BSoDL, great for the club, but I'm merely surprised at the regularity of him saying we need players and all that, even though I get journos are always asking so that increases the talk.
I do think you have to be a tad naïve to think a manager of any football club or business is going to come out and say anything that isn't positive about the chairman, unless their future is particularly short termist (ala mourinho). A considerate amount of what managers say turns out to be BS..they are mostly well oiled media machines.

Did we read the same article?
So funny how words can be interpreted to suit an agenda.
Give up it up lads, you should know by now that for some, everything is Levy's fault and always will be.

We may not be able to financially compete in the transfer market with the rich clubs like Chelsea, City and United but based on the past two seasons we can certainly do so on the pitch with our current squad. Surely this tells us something about the Levy/Poch partnership ?
Maybe we are all a little frustrated at what's going on at the moment but whatever it is Poch and Levy are doing it appears to be working. There is a plan...we just haven't been given the full details yet !.
I would be the first to demand the heads of those two if we were languishing mid table and heading nowhere with a squad full of average players but that isn't the case.I will also allow them a little tolerance with the Wembley move and possibly settle for a top six spot and perhaps a cup this season.
Supporters are a fickle lot. You can guarantee when a player is brought in to strengthen the team and satisfy the current hunger for transfer news then a certain percentage will deride and ridicule the decision...nature of the beast.
At the moment I have every confidence that we are building something special at the club...on solid foundations both financially and managerially. It would appear that the players also share that view or we would have been flooded with transfer requests. Teams that have spent an absolute fortune on new blood are incredulous at what is happening at Spurs....current players willing to accept lower wages compared to others in the Premiership for a chance to be part of a dream that they truly believe in. In a football world of nearly £200m transfer fees being quoted that's a breath of fresh air. Proud to be associated with such an ethos.....COYS !!

Can't compete financially, and yet talking to Morata about signing as competition to Kane...

There's clearly money, it's not the only issue.

A player like Morata isn't going to sit on his arse waiting for Harry Kane to hit a bad patch or get injured...he said that himself to Poch.

Yes there's money to pay a huge transfer fee for the right player but there is NOT the wage structure currently at the club to support such a high profile signing....that's the real issue behind no-one joining as yet and why we have to be prudent in who we approach.

Have a look out for the Guardian spin on the interview. They don't even put in the quotes about Levy. It's very negative compared to the Gold, Pearce etc pieces. Even the Daily Mail one is more rounded.

There have been no signings because of the very narrow profile of player that we are looking for and the ridiculously inflated prices being paid. The only players that improve our 11 are elite level. There are very few available and all would cost a fortune. Then there is the age of the player and his ability to fit into poch's ethos.

I believe we will sign a couple but it will drag on.

I love poch but his signings have been hit and miss so perhaps he and Levy have decided that it is worth the risk waiting for the right player rather than buying for the sake of it eg Fazio, Nkoudo, etc

I think Levy & co have failed the coaching staff and the fans this off season, simply because Levy & co, need us to spend the cash on tickets, new merchandise, etc. But they have failed to give us anything this summer in return, even the prospect of improving the bench is all we are looking for. And this in turn would let the coaching staff do their jobs properly for the new season, there is no point bring in players at the end of the window like what was shown last season by Sissoko, they need a pre-season to adapt to the new set up.
Especially in a time when they would like us to purchase over inflated tickets for a pre-season friendly against Juventus. And then Chelsea tickets are about to go on general release, they has messed up this summer so far in my books.
Look at Everton for example how many signings and a Europa League qualifier was sold out, it’s not about the number for new signings it’s about doing things right, and as far as I’m concerned they have messed up the transfer window so far, and mugged off the fans with the prices for Wembley.
Price it right, or get the fans something to justify the prices of the temporary home.

Everyone is banging on about Levy this and Levy that but can we actually take a minute to praise our Manager. The man is a fucking hero. He's been totally honest and clear about his vision and his expectations of players that work under him. He's also made it abundantly clear that it was always going to be difficult to sign players this summer and yet our fans still bitch and moan about our lack of signings.

As Poch has said, we WILL add players but we don't need them urgently because no matter who we sign, they won't be starting for us against Newcastle so it's better for us to be clever and if that takes some time then so be it.

If we get to September 1st and no new players have come in then I wouldn't begrudge anyone from having a moan, but until then why don't we have a little faith. Doesn't Poch deserve that?

Bottom line, if Poch is happy then I'm happy.

Agree with your point but the Morata talk was from two years ago not as relevant to this window. As everyone including Levy has said we will wait for the market to calm down before moving. JJ has suggested we have irons in the fire and I'm sure we will strike when the time is right.

I think most of us fans are worried for the new season, because it soulless Wembley after all, and the lack of maintaining the challenge, in the transfer market. All the club has shown this summer so far is the ability to market the need for our cash.
You need to get the fans on side, and im sure many of us could have something to complain about this summer.

It's EVERY year!!! If we have targets GET EM! Don't piss ball about trying to save a couple of quid. The whole 'well run club' line is bollocks it just equates to 'tight fuckers'. Contract renewals get dragged on & on which gives our rivals chance to cherry pick our best players.
