I just don't understand that attitude if indeed it is Benitez's attitude. He has made countless millions out of football why doesn't he just retire and be with his family full time ?

I guess he still enjoys managing. And if he can carry on working and be near them then there's no reason to retire yet.

I understand the questioning of Newcastle's status but my point really was to ask when did Leicester become a bigger club than Newcastle? I appreciate they won the title and that was a magnificent achievement but the reality is that where they are today is above where they should expect to be and for that matter where Newcastle are now is well below where they ought to be.
It may be that they will tempt Benitez but if so that emphasises my point that it'll be a sad day.

Traditionally you're right, but Leicester has a bigger population than Newcastle so should they be a bigger club than they are? If they had a bigger stadium would they get the fans in to support them?

Hopefully Leicester get relegated. This is another example of the manager having to fight player power within the club. I actually think Puel did a good job because he definitely had one hand tied behind his back with regards to the influence of this.

Technically that's right but Leicester is the city of Leicester and Newcastle is the city on the north bank with Gateshead on the south bank not included in that number. That said like you I doubt a bigger ground would be filled.

Seen the comment about Brendan Rodgers. If he goes this year he will be seen as a failure iimo. Now Rangers are back, it looks like he’s leaving before the going gets tough.

Think the bigger issue with Newcastle is Ashley...
he is a bit clueless... a bit like west ham, but they have 3 of them... so even if they have a little bit of a brain they have 3x the processing power of Ashley.

Ashley is clever enough, he's far more business savvy than the Dildo co. He's just a complete ****.

Weird timing for Brenda and Leicester, with Leicester in no trouble or relegation and no chance of Europe.

If I was them I'd get someone to cover the interim period and see if someone better becomes available in the summer. Not sure where they think that parody of a parody of a football manager will take them.

5Live have just broken the news that Rodgers has been given permission to talk to the biggest club in London, Leicester.
Interesting time for him to leave Celtic, if he goes.

I ain't a big fan of Rogers, bit of an arrogant tit. But I do think he'd be a good appointment for Leicester.

I think Rodgers and Leicester could be a good match. He has accomplished what’s possible with Celtic so now is a good time to leave
