Maybe not against City away or the like but against most of the teams in the league, especially at home, absolutely. He's 18, not 16 and has played against grown men in the Championship. Not ideal but I'd sooner put my confidence in him than in Dier. I'm talking worst case scenario.

Do you have a clever system of ensuring Romero and VDV don’t ever get injured or suspended except against poor teams at home? Because if you haven’t your ‘worst case scenario’ is one injury away

Signing can take place without medical, etc as long as deal sheet is with the Premier League by the deadline. All done pending.

If playing time is a problem, couldn't there be some playing time to get if we are closing out games and VDV goes to left back and Tosin goes in central? Effectively, the Ben Davies sub. Apart from being first backup to both centre halves? Romero has averaged 24,5 games per league season during his time at Spurs so far due to injury as well.
