No one immediately coming through, I think it was discussed a couple of pages back. A loan for Lambert would of been a good option if Ade went but can't see it happening. He could've bedded in quickly and knows the league and manager really well.

Just repost.... Might be better to play chadli as makeshift striker and we get a flying left winger..... Would be a better choice.

Don't want to swap a striker who can't score for another who can't score!

So you want to swap a striker who can't score for a striker who can score?

C'mon....you are asking for the moon my friend, i think you should dial back your expectations...

After seeing our fixture list for Febuary, then I hope we don't sell anyone else this window without bringing a player or two in.

We simply don't play certain players. For instance, Paulinho has played 137 minutes all season. I think we would be fine to get rid of him and not bring anyone in.

We would be better of getting rid of certain players AND bring somebody in. Even if only 1 player who is starting line-up material.

True, but we've got some big games coming up in the next month, games that could very well define our season and I'd rather we kept what we've got ( providing, of course that we don't bring anyone else in)so that at least Poch has options to rotate the squad and options from the bench.

Reducing the size of the squad at this stage of the season would be a very risky move in my opinion, especially as we still have so much left to play for.

It looks like no one will be coming in really. I'm personally pretty happy with the squad. If a couple leave who are seen as surplus to requirements then I'd be happy, namely Paulinho and Lennon. Adebayor out wouldn't be bad either. Would mean calling Pritchard back to the squad, I'd imagine. Also bringing in Onomah and Winks for squad places. Only thing lacking there would be another striker, but as mentioned before, Chadli could do a job there.

EDIT: Kaboul and Capoue could leave too I guess.

He's played 684 minutes. Whether people like him or not Poch clearly trusts him enough to use him here or there, pretty much either started or been subbed on in every game last month or so. If he was to leave (which i highly doubt) he definitely will need replacing. Lennon on the other hand won't need replacing in terms of time on pitch since beginning of December, and to lesser extent Capoue.
With us only playing with one striker I'd go as far as Soldado or Adebayor could leave without replacing but we desperately need a backup ST who can actually score.

Some players are more expendable than others and I think Kaboul through his performances has made himself very expendable. When Dier (young) and Chiriches (Error prone) are picked ahead of you when fit you know if might be time to move on. Paulinho and Capoue could still have a future if they can improve and adapt neither are write offs in my opinion. With the remaining schedule of Europe and last League cup game we are gonna need two full elevens fit and ready to play.

Probably not the right place to say this but it's in relation to Ade going and cover alternatives. Mason has also played as forward in the past.

Paulinho wont leave this window. If anyone leaves, which I highly doubt, they would come from the 4 amigos. I was really hoping for itk of anything close wrt outgoings but my hope dwindles by the moment now.

Paulinho has had a few good sub appearances lately, IMO. So Poch is having an effect on him and is beginning to trust him more and more, IMO.

I was hoping for ITK today too regarding why Chiriches and Chadli were with squad yesterday but Kaboul, Capoue and Lennon didn't seem to be.

I like Paulinho and don't want to sell him, in the hope that he can get back to the form of his first season with us but when Bentaleb gets back from the Afcon, Paulinho will drop back down the pecking order and wont get as much game time
