Still working on Cardozo then. I remember people being underwhelmed with Crouch last summer and yet he helped us out. So I hope he gets a chance to prove himself if he signs. He looks a good player.

Adiepf your committment to your source is commendable mate but I find it absolutely unbelievable we had no back up plan on Fabiano! IF we were going to sign a striker surely we would have had a few options?? The only way its true is if we decided Fab is the only improvement we could make and thats that. Surely we were not that short sighted

I never read it like that more fab was our no1 target...other strikers have been mentioned, AND as the clocked ticked down, gone eg KJH

Not necessarily..he could still be sold, or more likely loaned...remember the 25 rule(AND YES HE COULD STILL STAY)

Don't want to doubt Adiepf's source as I am sure it's all passed on in really good faith, but it's definitely not true, other strikers have been considered and enquiries made.

Didn't think that was in question, more who Adiepf's source felt was no1 and "happening"


Harry said at the beginning of the window, 1-2 "top notch" if they make a difference....well we didn't get them, under the terms we wanted.

I truly hope we don't make a knee jerk signing, we really don't need one of those...eg babel (not questioning the player, just the need for that (current) level of player..

just a quick add. looks like Keane isnt Celtic bound.........Celtic have announced the signing of striker Anthony Stokes on a four-year contract from Hibernian.

That is disappointing to be honest as he was on the ITKs I was quite excited about. If Cardozo comes off then thats ok, I just hope others are right when they state that we are still looking for strikers.

Celtic have signed striker Stokes from Hibs so i doubt they will be in for Keane. It's looking more and more likely to me that we will end up doing nothing today, which would be a bit disappointing but you have to trust that Harry and Levy know what they are doing and have good reason for not splashing the cash.
