Of those 8 players, 4 are still on our roster.

Of the 4 who have left, we've made a net profit of around £5.5M, even taking into account the loss we made on N'Jie. That doesn't include the respective loan fees we've received for those players which would take that net profit closer to £10M.

We also received a loan fee of £2.25M for Janssen's spell at Fenerbahce, and there's very little basis for claiming we over-paid for Aurier.

If you're interested, we also broke even or made profit on Paulinho, Stambouli, Capoue, Dempsey, Sigurdsson, Lennon, Fryers and others during that period.

I agree that we need to make a couple of big signings if we're to compete for anything, but players like N'Jie and Wimmer who arrived 4 years ago, and players like Fazio and Yedlin who arrived 5 years ago, are hardly the biggest stumbling block to that.

Think your missing my point do you agree that all those players have been a complete waste of money? I know someone mentioned Llorente scored the winner last night but really that just polishes the turd. He kneed a shot from an open goal over the bar it was harder to miss than score. Id actually take crouch back over Llorente and for the money he is on is just unbelievable.

ON the net profit you clearly forget that these guys all command a wage so in actually fact spurs made a loss on all those players who failed to perform.

I don't agree that Llorente or Aurier were complete wastes of money, and I think the other 6 were reasonably-priced punts worth taking. Especially Fazio who is now doing very well at Roma, I think we let him go too early.

What's the point of loaning these blokes out if we aren't bringing anyone in? We're just going to have to get rid of them again in the summer window. Will we have the same issues regarding incomings then?

Wages and playing time = someone might wanna buy them in the summer. Better than playing for the u23s.

My prediction of 2 out 0 in is looking bang on but maybe a bit conservative.

To give them some playing time so that maybe someone will notice them enough to buy.

It’s a never ending cycle isnt’t it, anyone assuming us signing players in the summer is a given, may need a rethink ...

Easier to sell players who've been out on loan than players who can't make the bench.

I've got a rainbow as my avatar.

I didn't pick it because I liked the colours (Who would? They're garish. Tone it down and get some pastels in there)

We’ll be in the same exact place we are now come August trying to get rid of them. So honestly, its pointless

if they do well on loan, those loans might turn into permanent moves which means it's no pointless. no good leaving them out of the shop window, if they don't play they are totally forgotten

I suppose they might get game time which any potential buyers could take a look at. It's no good having them sat on their arses here and they're obviously not in Poch's plans.
