One of my mates is a Watford fan. He sent a WhatsApp message group I’m on saying our ground was magnificent. A Chelsea fan replied saying the best in the premier league. My question to all the levy supporters justifying his failure again to fully back our manager is what is the point in putting our club into such debt if you are not going to find a fully competitive playing squad? Seriously what is the point? What are we actually trying to do here as a project.

That ground has been empty for 18 months, and there’s no guarantees it wont be again soon.

Sustainability… it’s what the stadium was all about.

We may have kept our main asset this summer but what happens in Jan or next summer? We havent shown him any ambition or incentive to stay. We had a chance to show ambition and what this window shows is that we are planning for 3 or 4 years time hoping that these young players come good.

Its frankly not good enough for a team that aspires to be top 4.
I have to say I disagree with you, but you’re entitled to your opinion. Let’s look at Dortmund who sign the young guys too, and actually play them (like we used to). It’s working out quite well for them, they have CL football this year with a very young side. Buying youth and playing them in the 1st team can and does work, now, not in 3 years time.

I cannot understand why we haven't been in for other Barcelona youngsters after missing out in Moirba. Riqui Puig has been told he's not in their plans this season. He'd be a snip.

Some of you lot need some perspective. Just over a year ago we loaned £175m from the BoE to see us through a very shitty period.

Right now, I’m extremely thankful we’ve managed any semblance of transfer activity because quite honestly I wasn’t expecting anything even close to what we’ve achieved.

Tottenham do it again, we are left short again. And some are expecting top 4, we’ll be fighting with wet spam again for 6
I think your expectations are a little high with 6th. Just because we sit top after 3 games doesn't mean we have improved it just means we have been lucky and are papering over the cracks. Levy the banker has once again left us no closer to challenging for any trophies because his bid ego had to get involved in some way.

If Paratitci and Hitchen had any balls they would tell him right now to fuck off and stick his job. What is the point in laying all the ground work and then at the last minute that egotistical dwarf comes in shots all over everything.

It's sickening to think that every single year we see this happening and yet we still support our club. Until the supporters start hitting ENIC in the pocket were it hurts them most nothing is going to change.

You can point to a fantastic stadium and training ground but if you don't have the quality on the pitch what is the point when year after year we go nowhere and especially now when there are apparently so many good deals to be had.

When Kane sprains one of his ankles and is out 6 to 8 weeks, what happens if Son gets injured as well? How can they go into rest of season with no backup striker?

And if all our players get injured... What happens then!

If Kane is injured we play Son up top.

If Kane and Son are injured we play Dele up to

If Kane, Son & Dele are injured we play Lucas up top

If Kane, Son, Dele & Lucas are injured we play Scarlett

If Kane, Son ,Dele, Lucas and Scarlett are all injured.... We sack the physio! :sneaky:

Levy was never gonna relinquish full control on transfers in one summer, Paratici has to earn the trust. Also no one was complaining about levy interfering when he was playing hard ball with Kane.

For me this window isn’t half as bad as people are making out, we were clearly a right back and a cb short last season and have purchased both.
We also have turned our squad from one of the oldest in the league to having just one player over 30 which is the beginning of a rebuild as we hoped?
This window and it’s success hinges on Ndombele. If he’s open to reintegration and will get his head down a la last season then we’re only short a striker/wing forward.
The ITK about levy, is this from a resident ITK of this site or was it shared? I think it was the goat but can’t remember.. the thing with that is how it affects the relationship with Paratici moving forwards. Lastly we had itk that we were in for Moriba, Vlahovic and Martinez which are much better target models than we’ve been used to in recent seasons so for me I’m optimistic in scouting/targets moving forwards

I'm so f****d off with the transfer windows. This window was the first time I've been properly involved with some info and I've experienced first hand the positive noises which come out of the club early doors only to be met by exactly the same shit every window! I was told to expect 3/4 more players in and it's ended up being 1.....f***ing 1!

I rated the window 7/10 as I think business on the whole has been decent and Paratici has started giving the squad the much needed revamp it needed. I understand it will take a few windows but we're seriously lacking creativity and no one can argue that. The fact Levy doesn't see it and has pulled the plug on deals when money upfront was requested is quite frankly disgraceful.

I usually give him the benefit of the doubt but he's royally f***ed me off today!

I say it every window but I will no longer get wrapped up in the hype which we always get early on in the window only to be replaced with a sense of disappointment at ANOTHER missed opportunity. I know Traore split opinions but I honestly think if we signed him today then top 4 was ours. If not Traore then another creative midfielder to give us that extra spark.

We simply cannot afford to miss out on CL anymore! Fuck off Levy, you're full of shit!

Hope everyone enjoyed deadline day ??‍♂️

If DL didn't sanction a move that was getting up near the 50mil mark for a player that half of us can't even decide is any good or not, then I have to say that I agree with him. Especially if it involved shafting Bergwijn out of the squad entirely at the last minute.

If Adama Traore was so important to Nuno and Fab, then that's the player we should have gone after first with ample time to make outgoings if required to fund it. It's not like he isn't a very, very specific player or someone that's just become available. He's been a known quantity the whole time. No excuses at all for us to be prying him out of Wolves at such a late stage imo, so if we've failed there then it's down to targeting a difficult target too late to get the job done.

"Despite the Head Coach, Director of Football and Director of Technical Performance all deciding that Traore was the one they wanted and spending the last week of the window negotiating for him, thankfully Levy saw sense and told them at the last minute that in fact he wasn't going to sanction their crazy attempt to give us a new attacking option and we'd be sticking with our two non-scoring wingers and the youth team player."

There you go.

Is that not similar to what happened for the Martinez, Vlahovic deals.. or even Kounde, Moriba, etc? The team needed the DL to fork out a bit more to get the deal done and he said no?

Or did Nuno or Fabio say no to those 4?

We all understand buddy, but we were told that we have decent money to spend, which raised expectations, which is why the end is so disappointing. Same every window though.
