Yep, I think our CB situation is very worrying at present . Chiriches has shown class but I have my heart in my mouth whenever the ball is near him. He's a penalty or red card waiting to happen. Also wasn't too impressed with him against soton. Let his man get across him and get a shot/cross in a couple of times.
With Dawson playing terribly and kaboul injured we are in a lot more trouble than it may seem in this dept. Unless of course Tim knows we have cover in the u21s.

My Christmas present to SC is the gift of potential future ITK. Saw one of my cousins at a family get together today, and found out that he cleans Tim Sherwood's windows at his house in Edlesborough. I can only assume that like every other top manager, Tim will leave his confidential memos detailing tactical plans, current squad contract correspondence and transfer target shortlist out on his desk visible through the windows, so I'll be sure to update you all as and when.

(...) Unless of course Tim knows we have cover in the u21s.

I'm not sure we do to be honest. Most of the young talent we have seems to be of the midfield variety. Our most promising defender is probably Milos Veljkovic, who just turned 18 in September. I doubt we have any help coming from the Youth ranks, which makes the sale of Caulker all the more puzzling in hindsight.

That said, I'm no expert, and I could easily be missing somebody. Or maybe Veljkovic really is ready to contribute now, he was apparently signed at Sherwood's prompting. But I agree, we probably need strengthening in that position.

Did we not get a buy back clause in the Caulker deal?

Take with salt

Who: Rebrab
When: 02 Aug 2013
Where: SC

Caulker: 20-odd percent sell on (not profit) fee and first refusal. This means no buyback clause, but if in 2 years time they accepted a bid we could get him for 20-something% less than any other teams.

defintely need one class center back signing to play with verts and one left back signing for starters

...still it was Walker/Eriksen who messed up and caused the freekick on which we conceeded. Walker has a bad habit of giving away these kind of easy freekicks against lesser teams.

Eriksen pulled the player back.

I am struggling to keep up with all the ITK information
Thinking exactly the same thing. I'm beginning to think this AVB/TS kerfuffle was orchestrated by DL and A&C to ensure a quieter transfer window and give him a rest.

Nobody would ever suspect a thing. Except me of course. :shifty:

I like Lovren at Southampton.
Not keen on us signing him then.
