I know this isn't Spurs related ITK(well not really) but Kenwyne Jones is apparently signing for Stoke tomorrow.

Atleast we can strike that one off the list if true

sunderland may be without bent for the opening game as well. That will leave only campbell unless they get another striker in.

Spartak's chairman (IIRC) said that Pletikosa is 'flying in to London for examinations' on Tuesday. I posted the quote in the Stipe thread in Transfer Rumours.

ahhh more clearer now, so looks like the medical is tomorrow then, possibly signing tomorrow or Wednesday depending how quick the medical is etc.

I'm guessing Stoke paid the £15m+ that they were demanding from us then?

As far as the ITK goes, would it be reasonable to assume that if a deal for Young is "on", this is now purely between Levy, Lerner, Young and his agent, and that any potential new manager will have to accept that they have no say in Yojng staying?

Yes. Pretty much.

MON clearly rated Young. One of his best players at the club infact. So if villa are willing to sell Young when MON clearly had no desire of wanting that to happen, what is the next Tom, Dick or Harry at Villa gonna do to stop Randy Lerner selling him? Not much im guessing.

To add (cos you cant bloody edit)...

To me it seems like Randy Lerner is looking for an exit strategy. Getting as much money as possible from there best players and then selling up.

Also, if it involves players going the other way surely this will be affected by the O'Neil leaving/New man coming in? I don't see Levy doing a straight cash deal as Young must be valued in the region of 25m.

Maybe. Or the 85% of revenue spend on salaries by O'Neill might have pissed him off. That's Hull-esque. And not to get into an old argument that I don't give a flip about, but Villa are a big enough club that they shouldn't be on the verge of meltdown based on wages alone.

Nothing in Huntelaar and Gio swap deal, Levy still working on problem areas.

Centre back is a worry, we are nowhere on getting decent cover yet.

Hi Storts, thanks for getting back on that, so no chance of Huntelaar at all then.....:-|

Any word on outgoings?

Have a feeling if we're serious about a new creative midfielder it means curtains for Krancjar or Dos Santos.

I have a funny feeling it will be Huntelaar, Hleb, Richards, Bellamy and Pletikosa.

Please tell me that striker is being dumbed down from CF, #9, Target man....take your pick

Similarly we've got 'creative' midfielders coming out of everywhere. Hopefully that was shorthand for goalscoring, penetrating attacking (wide left) midfielder/wide (left) forward.
