Late night Archie or early morning?

Anyone know what's going on? Have we given up on Bellamy, Richards or Parker? Has Ozil gone to Byern? We gonna keep Jonny 2 Saints?

Most people said a deal guaranteed by the Villareal game, but nothing's happened yet

after hearing harry on talksport i think once the milner deal goes through the market should liven up so i reckon villa will be buying one or two of our players with then us going for one or two of city's players etc.......

No Milner for Villa last night. So hopefully that one will go through this week and we can get this show on the road.

I honestly never thought we'd get all the way to our last pre-season friendly without one new signing in our squad. Gives Sandro a lot more attention though.

Has anyone else noticed that Harry has now said several times that he likes Ireland but can't afford him. The first time was way back at the start of the summer and I'm not sure he's actually been asked directly to comment on Ireland on these occassions. For the record I think he'd make a good addition to the squad the one thing our midfield lacks is goals. I find it hard to believe Harry thinks 12m is too much given what we spent on bently and palacios to name but two.

Think it's just relative. £12m is too much for a CM with no CL experience when we need forwards and a CB and ideally some CL experience.

O'Neil said last night that they did'nt play Milner because something could be happening over the weekend or monaday regarding his transfer to city, so fingers crossed that this will finally get the ball rolling on transfers.

Well that's good news. At least he's being honest. I'd imagine a bid had been accepted and the player and club are now speaking.

I'm guessing, in this day and age, that his agent has already been talking to City, even if he shouldn't.

I think it's more just mind games. Mancini's interview this week was the first time he seemed a bit nervous about selling players - they have 31 senior players, not including balotelli and milner (although presumably balotelli wouldn't need to be in the 25?)

My feeling on this is that Ireland, Richards and Bellamy are all interesting Harry, but he knows that when August 31 gets closer, Man City will be panicking to offload enough players to be within the 25 limit, so he can get them at a much cheaper price than the high ones City are currently asking.

Isn't Ireland valued at only about £8m in the deal for Milner though?

What's the cut off time for any new signings ahead of the City game? I assume it's some time on Friday. So maybe we can expect Bellamy or Richards (maybe even both) later on that afternoon. It's gonna be a firesale at City pretty soon. I don't think they'll have too much trouble offloading to us, provided they can't play against them next weekend.

Mancini only said it would be better for the players if they left. I don't think they'll panic to offload, certainly not to benefit us either. It makes no odds to City if they are sitting in the reserves or just playing in the cups.
