I am myself a veteran of many transfer windows but I feel optimistic about this window because we actually have money to spend also Betis NEED to sell GLC and Lisbon want to sell BF. Neither clubs are going to get anymore money from European sides once the prem window is shut so they're just posturing.
I’m sure Hercules has stated recently he’s now worried for his nads. The Lo Celso episode has been a strange one and is by no means guaranteed

Fuck sake... some people really need to get a grip. People are losing their shit over a transfer window, we had a thread the other day dedicated to a SC member and the unfortunate passing of his mother. Please can people get some type of fucking perspective.
Funnily enough anther poster and I were in a pm and I said just that. Good on you for not mincing your words.

I keep trying to get people to save their meltdown until they know what they are melting about but no, melts are gonna melt. It's genuinely embarrassing seeing what I assume are grown men, literally having nervous breakdowns over a poxy transfer when at any time, we could still turn it around. Yes, I know we've been here before and I get that it's the likely scenario but you don't get on a boat and start booing because the fucking Titanic sank do you.

I really, really REALLY don't get how people don't mind outing themselves as being emotionally stunted crybabies over this. Without even batting an eye, 'look at me expressing my lack of length 'down there'

Entertaining? Slightly but it wears off. Wait, just wait FFS.

Hey don't forget the grown women wetting themselves over something that may not happen too.... Equality innit ;)

I’d be delighted if we manage to bag Sessegnon, Lo Celso & Zaha personally, even if it means Eriksen leaving.

Sounds like a lot to ask at this stage however..

Ali z regarding Coutinho

Certainly Poch's first choice, do I see it happening, No

AND

Think financials are doable, just too late to get it done IMO, plus him and Eriksen are pretty much same player where as Le Celso and Fernandez could arguably play in same side as Eriksen, don't think Coutinhio could and we have no bid for Eriksen last I heard.

What sort of number have we put on Eriksen I wonder.
Are we in effect pricing him out of a move, and in the process biting our nose off to spite our face ?

I can't see Palace letting us have Zaha for what he is really worth tbh. They are holding out for £70m aren't they?

So we want coutinho but can only do it if eriksen goes and no on wants him, but he might go after its too late for us.
We want Le celso and fernandes but are waiting for coutinho , who's waiting for eriksen.
So we end up with no one

Reckon best investment we can do as a club is a calendar for Mr Levy. Could work miracles on coming windows.

Fucking hell here we go with another mass meltdown..

This bullshit really needs to stop. People are fucked off after being constantly told that this is the window where things finally change, but in the end we are somehow WEAKER than last season. People are allowed to have a meltdown over this, oh my fucking god.

(Perhaps it's time to launch a seasonal (transfer window only) SC TV show "Tottenham Fan TV" and fund SC for the rest of the year through that.)

In all fairness, this does look and sound like a fiasco especially with the ITKers chiming in today. (Many thanks though) One saving grace is that quite a few of these rumors die a quick death (Coutinho to Arsenal) but we, and i include myself, end up spending 5 pounds of emotion on that 50 pence rumor.

The problem is that it's like we are riding a carnival ride blindfolded and the ITKers are the ones whose blindfolds are partly off. They aren't always happy what they see, but because they aren't posting every five minutes, we end up reacting to the screams of our fellow blindfolded riders. But we hang on for every word from them.

Has the window closed yet? I think it's the fact people are basically jumping out of buildings before we actually know what has happened. Feel free to meltdown to your hearts content at 5.01pm on Thursday.

I think if we'd have won the Champions League, there would have been very little moaning about the transfer window in this forum, whatever happened..
The reason people are stressed is out of sheer frustration at being unable to win trophies for a protracted period of time, and the seeming lack of ability/ effort of the people in charge of the purse strings to alter that situation.

I understand the need to push on. The fact that we broke our transfer record this window and the fact we're actively negotiating for other targets suggests we're trying to push on. If we do no more business this window then I'll be with everyone else questioning the ambition of the board. But as it stands, we've got info from multiple itk that we're still working on deals, so I'll leave any indictments until after the window closes.

My guess is Utd are reluctant over Eriksen and Levy is crapping himself. We are letting Eriksen's future dictate our window I suspect.

This feels like such a key window, we need to ensure we come out well or the consequences of failure are surely too dire.

I'm confused, I thought Eriksen was definitely off?
