“I have a contract with Barcelona and I must respect that, but I heard about the link with Tottenham Hotspur and I think they are a great club. I appreciate their interest and we will see what happens in the future. “
While Hleb’s agent Oliver Mintzlaff told Sport.co.uk in an exclusive interview that the interest was official:
“The situation with Alex will be sorted in the coming weeks. Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Alex as well as Sevilla. The player has a contract for two more years with Barcelona and the club would have to be willing to sell him, but both of these clubs interest him.”

Got a text saying Bellamy on loan, wont happen till nearer the end of the window.
I know thats the most wafer thin of information but I have no reason to doubt the person that said it to me, he works in football and always tries to find out Spurs information for me when he can, like who we're scouting in the lower leagues and such. It sounds like he's spoken to an agent or something in my opinion so it could just be a rumour picked up off a place like this but its still worth knowing that its being banded about.
Not trying to bag a scoop, Mods can PM me to verify I'm not a WUM if they want to.

I would say this one is gathering pace but we've been after him for so long!

Dont think that from what Sandra said, there are any real problems between Harry and the board though. This was the main reason for ringing him. He must have spoken to Harry by now though.

I can see the benefit of the loan last year, in terms of keeping the team settled etc but surely Levy this time will be looking for $ as will Harry so that he can reinvest it?

I don't like the idea of a keano loan deal for two reasons

1) We don't have money to be reinvested in the squad
2) His value goes down every year...

Maybe if we're getting Bellamy on loan, we're loaning Keane out. So when Bellamy's loan ends, we have insurance in Keane returning. A bit like when we loaned out Keane and loaned in Gudjohnsen.

Harry categorically stated that Keane would not be loaned out this season. He either stays, or is sold.

So, a loan it is then.

I'd be happy for keane to go if we are going to sign someone like Suarez. Who wouldn't be? I just feel that this is year maybe our only changes to gain a foothold to become a major force in the epl and europe. If we do not achieve better things this season or at least retain top 4 then I feel players like modric, bale etc will be tempted to leave and we are back to square 1.
