That ITK on Dybala doesn't actually say that we're even in for him does it? I'm sure there are lots of players in world football whose wages we could afford, but it doesn't mean much without an agreement. This feels like one of those fanciful links that appears towards the end of every transfer window, where we all get excited but ultimately don't sign the player. Would love to be proven wrong though!

The fact one of our ITKs seems to know Dybala’s feelings on Manchester United suggests to me that there have at least been discussions between people at THFC and people in Dybala’s entourage

So quite the conundrum going into the last few days of the window. I think I've got this right....

- Lo C is first choice and we should get him in spite of Betis being twats because they need the money and should blink first;
- Fernandes is plan B if we don't get Lo C, and we might get both but only if Eriksen leaves; and
- Eriksen has agreed a contract but hasn't signed it, so we don't know whether he's staying or going.

So at what point do we tell Betis to do one and pull the trigger on Fernandes? Plus, we're presumably stringing Fernandes and Sporting along until the Lo C and Eriksen situations become clear. How long will they put up with that before telling us to piss off and/or selling Fernandes to somebody else. Then if Eriksen leaves (which he can do after the window in England closes) we'll have no greater depth even if we do get Lo C as it will be one-in-one-out.

The obvious answer would seem to be to get both Lo C and Fernandes on the assumption that Eriksen won't re-sign and we ship him out immediately or in January - if he'll go. But will the finances let us take that gamble? Plus - at least in the case of Fernandes - we're playing with people's lives (which, admittedly, doesn't seem to worry Betis).

Tricky shit this transfer window business.

Just buy lo cel, bruno and dybala and make Eriksen play in the u23’s...he is 23 after all

Afaik, we've had itk stating that we've bid for him but I do agree with what you're saying.

I really can’t see a Dybala, Eriksen swap deal. For starters we’re led to believe Juve rate Dybala at £80/£85m, how much do you think they rate Eriksen, with 1 year left on his contract, who they could sign in 6 months time for nothing? I’d be suprised if they would value Eriksen at £40m.

Levy is not going to hand them Eriksen and £40m.

The only way I see us getting Dybala is if Eriksen ends up at Utd with them over paying.

I think he might. Didn’t we get less for Modric going to Madrid than we would have if he had gone to Chelsea? The Dybala wages ITK definitely points to us being closer to the deal than further away.

It's better Eriksen and 40m than 80m and Eriksen goes on a free...

It's not necessarily about how much Eriksen is worth now... Think it's more about cost of replacing him and damage limitation

Thought myself they put the wage story in their to cover themselves, not a good look for one of the ‘biggest’ clubs to have a player reject them

Can't see this tbh. If he did, and that is a massive 'if', they would end up with serious egg on their faces.

I really don't wish for GLC career to end up like Berahino and be ruined just due to some dickheads management who are so unprofessional and take things so personal.

What's black and white and re(a)d all over?

Newspaper?

Anyway, re the ITK, it does sound like Lo Celso will be up in the air until the deadline. Personally still have a feeling it'll go through but it's gonna be an interesting few days, for sure.

I'd rather him leave tbh. He's the laziest, most disinterested player I know & wouldn't know playing with passion if it smacked him in the face!!

Good riddance (I hope).

You are talking about the player that runs most meters every game in our team.

hertyid on dybala: He earns less than Kane at the moment. No reason we can’t find a way to pay his new wages. Definitely not a sticking point. The Utd wage story is a smokescreen, he had less than zero interest in moving to OT as far as I’ve heard.

This seems more onions than ITK but I stand to be corrected
