Huge week ahead for the club, a few players are edging closer to the exit door, hopefully we can shift enough to get a couple more in but we need to get moving.

Club are still confident it can get a couple more in and for those who think Daniel feels what we have is enough based on Ange's early tenure, its quite the opposite. He has been massively impressed with what Ange has done in such a short space of time and wants to give him what he needs. But the squad is massively bloated and he needs to start taking some hits to shift the deadwood.

I honestly don't know how it's going to pan out, but this is a huge week for the club. It's very early days but I've been so impressed by Ange, give the man what he wants and let's see what he can do.

Will pass anything on I hear in what looks to be a busy week.

I take great encouragement from this. Thanks for keeping us informed.

That's all great, even more so if he actually wants to help Ange out, but COYS Daniel really needs to bite the bullet and actually take hits rather than eeking it out for as long as possible in the hope that he'll be able to take less of a hit (which is presumably what's happening) because he'll probably still have to take the hit and it'll give us less time to get the players in. It feels like we're in such a good place at the moment, it'd be a crying shame if we're left with just 1 or 2 fixable weaknesses in the squad that could really help us through the season.

I really hope they can get this done. This manager deserves everything he requires for us to push on this season. Daniel will earn a huge amount of praise from the fans if he gets this done, if he doesn't on the other hand....

Could be an exciting week. May seem obvious. Confidence high we will get the very least 2 players we need, striker and back up CB, which are seen as priorities. Ideally we would like a wide forward Specialist also. If Pierre goes we not sure on bringing in a replacement, as funds may not be there. Gio may still go. If he does then anything goes.

Be a shame if gio goes but understandable, he does we’ll need to find a creative alternative to Maddison whether that’s moving kulu inside or signing else

Not a question for you more the club and Daniel coys. In what world can you sell a striker for 100m and not have the funds to buy a back up CB, striker and replace hojbjerg if he goes for money?

If there’s one thing we’ve learnt from the early part of the season, it’s that we definitely need a top striker to compete up front, so it’s good to hear itk’s saying we’re still in for one.

Thanks Herc and H88. I really don’t think we need a CM even if PEH goes - Biss, Sarr, Bentancur, Skipp, Maddison and GLC is plenty for three spots IMO. A backup CB and a top notch forward and I think we are getting CL, so just get things done would be my message to DL

I can only pray he follows through on the bit in bold. I think he’s nailed this appointment, possibly by accident, but don’t look a gift horse in the mouth….

I am a PEH appreciator, but given the performance of Sarr and Skipp, and the eventual return of Bentacour, i don't mind selling him without buying a replacement

I’m not sure what we would realistically do if we sold Gio. We’d need another creative minded mid and I can’t think of many, if any, decent options who are available at present. Young or old.

It’s been a great start. But I doubt we would base our transfer policy on the first three games of the season. Maybe we are more confident to do more business but I suspect Levy will give himself more time as he as gained it for ange doing well. I doubt he will spend more because of the Start. He’s not Levy MO over the years. I’m excited how we play it’s great. We need to add but I think it would be 2 at max. Mostly likely one and a few cleared. And a push in Jan I suspect. It’s just what we normally do.

I think the fear is the other way round - that we will spend less because of the start. H88’s update is encouraging

Centre back is an absolute must. If Van Der Ven doesn't play we have nobody . Hopefully those outs come so we can get our two priorities in.

Expecting a "we tried" "goalposts were moved" "lessons learned" etc end to the window when it turns out it's difficult to change a third of a squad in a week (wanting 6 or 7 out and 2 or 3 in). Hopefully getting in players the boss wants, having them get used to the system and moulding the squad into something that has high hopes in 4 competitions next season (fingers crossed) will be seen as worth the short term financial hit for long term club gain, instead of being penny wise and pound foolish

I can quite imagine that Levy is keen to give Ange what he needs after what he's seen. I just don't know other than revisiting Tapsoba for CB, what players are really going to move the needle for us this late, unless we produce a scouting masterclass. Entirely possible but looking forward to seeing what transpires.
