You could argue that's because the info breaking is his trigger to finally share the info he has. The guy did go to say 'but why does he not keep schtum like other ITKs?' which is kinda contradictory in itself.

I trust @Rob and his verification process completely, but like some other great posts today have said, it's good for everyone to have an idea on each ITKs personality and likely source of info when sprinkling that all important salt.

It really isnt. it is black and white. you read, digest. Believe or Dont believe. but you dont go around questioning ITK. That is the fundamental point of this forum.

That's fair, I don't agree with criticising ITK at all, they aren't a public service, and people should be grateful for the snippets they get.

There are various things happening now for example that we’ve been asked not to mention yet. We were told about Ceballos from VY a week ago but asked to keep quiet, then several other ITKs mentioned his name to us and then it finally hit the press.

Genuine question though, why do people share info with you but then tell you not to post it? If they don't want it posted then why submit it in the first place? Seems a bit counter-intuitive. Is it just to use as evidence to demonstrate that they were genuinely ITK when the news finally does break publicly because they can say "see I told you so last week" etc.? No worries if it's all a secret, I was just interested is all.

If nothing else such info shared with the mods but not published confirms the ITK’s value as a source of ITK

In at least the past decade we've not had a summer transfer window where we've failed on all fronts and where we've not signed at least one player who has gone on to have major impact in the first team. I don't get where this attitude comes from that we always fail. The club say we're still trying. All the ITKs do rigth up until today. The track record is of pulling off deals. Our history says the chances of at least one half decent signing is greater than not.

When Gareth Bale strolls into Hotspur way at 10:00pm on 9th August you won't say we've failed then.
