Why would Spurs hedge with the Euro tumbling as it has done in the last few months.
The European teams might have hedged, but doubt that Spurs have.
Especially as they wouldn't have any idea as to how much they are likely to spend in Euros in advance.

We are in the same boat as every other club, a crisis in Greece that has been going on for over 5 years, is not going to affect the majority of football transfer market that much.

Where has the currency gone against the pound today? Absolutely nowhere. The Greek Crisis was HEAVILY priced into the EUR currency. Stocks however, clearly were not.....

Spurs operate as a standalone company, owned by a company, which is partly owned by a company that Joe Lewis owns. He is not hedging Euros with our transfer policy in his mind.....

This has really surprised me as thats means we are pushing possibly for a top draw player? How confident remains to be seen!

I think the implication is that we've had no plan A up till now. Mischievous emoticon makes me think that...

Could plan A be Rabiot, in that we obviously tried for him in Jan only for him to stay at PSG as they promised him more football. His mother/agent has come out this summer and said he feels he needs to leave PSG this summer. If he's forcing a move and we've turned our attentions back to him having drawn up a list with Schneiderlin at the top on the basis that we couldn't get Rabiot. Hence plan b & c after Schneiderlin and Imbula being our original plan A?
