KJH is off to Schalke isn't he?

That's seems to be the consensus view, don't understand why we wouldn't be stepping in if Fabiano's off though, Rossi as an alternative to Fabiano, if that's what he is, sounds rather bizarre!

Maybe the Rossi thing is to bring down the price for Fabiano

Signing rossi is not going to be straight forward im sure a manc fan told me at the time they have first refusal on him, because they expect him to be big in the future..

Tickets for the Dome of Doom will be available for sale from the usual outlets immediately following the fat lady's song on transfer deadline day. The Albert Hall has been booked as an overflow venue in the event of heavy demand.

In the meantime I would point out that:

The last day is usually the busiest.
DL is hailed as one of the most astute chairmen and best negotiators in the business.
Speculation is fine but the true picture (and even this is a movable feast) is only known by the priviledged few.
Patience is a virtue.
Optimism or pessimism is a personal option.

Just under 48 hours left people. Let's not lose it at this critical stage.

Good post, Alfie.

I live Levy and I think he has done wonders for Spurs. And he always has their best interests at heart. Will get the most he can when selling and pay the least when buying. But sometimes, JUST SOMETIMES he needs to realise the importance of the situation. Champions League, keep the pressure of the top 4 going and time to build on the excellent squad we have to make it a force. So for a few extra millions here or there he should be saying "ok Del Nido, Galliani here is the few extra mill you wanted, let's get it done!".

to Huntelaar and Muntari :bang:

This should have been a transfer window when we showed we mean business and bought some real quality. Thw 2 or 3 players needed to challenge for the title.

Instead we seem to be according to reports on the verge of settling for Muntari who quite frankly is really poor and rossi who if Fergie thought he could cut it would have kept him in the premier league.

I am afraid guys same old story balance sheet comes first and ambition comes in a distant second.

Sorry for being so down beat but these signings are so underwhelming and it looks like another false dawn for our beloved club.

starting to think no one has a clue whats going on ...and perhaps our ITK friends are subject to the same club rumours as anyone else ...
its great that they share it , but pinch of salt is the phrase that comes to mind.

I know that Harry has many good contacts in media and has been know to release info to them as favours ..as a result they help in out in other ways .
So ...my thinking is that if its not in the press first ..then it aint happening.

Amen. It seems that some "sources" lead their ITKs down a garden path and in certain cases ITK's embellish their info.

Not picking on a particular ITK or anything but remember all the snippets regarding Fabiano before our Champions league qualifier against Young Boys. Grandstand statements like transfer agreed in principle and unveiling at the Young Boy's game were all trotted out. Yet the British and foreign press didn't make such headlines....

Its been about a week now and what little we've heard in the press regards to Fabiano, it seems Seville wants too much money. Me thinks this transfer has a bit to go before everything is "agreed in principle".....

Is it possible to read a piece of ITK, and this goes to everyone and not just Dan, without having a huge impulsive reaction? There is no evidence that we have switched from Fabiano and Diarra to Huntelaar and Muntari. The next couple of days are going to have plenty of differing stories it doesn't mean that we are changing our targets constantly.

Can we please stop with the stupid notion that ambition is a distant second to balance sheets.

Levy is very ambitious, why else do you think so much time and money has gone into a new stadium and state of the art training ground, it's for the long term benifit of the club, not the short term.

Levy is intelligent enough to know that on field success is linked to financial success and he is also intelligent enough not to risk the long term future of the club by paying over inflated transfer fees and wages.
