Please explain what each of them offer and then explain in what way Fabiano is different.

X2 I can't believe people think Brazils number 9 wouldn't bring anything tovthe team, are we really that full of ourselves ?????

Would you rather spend 12 plus million on a striker (Fabiano) who's coming towards then end of his career whom isn't guaranteed to be a hit in the prem/happy to accept his big wages or take a risk and go for some young talent such as (and as much as I hate to say it) - Carroll, who is young, strong and has an eye for goal.

Yeah I'd rather we signed Fabiano than go for someone like Carroll. If Fab is good enough to be Brazil number 9, then he's god enough for Spurs. At 29 he's still got at least 3 years in him. I'd rather go for him and then look for someone younger to eventually replace him.

Didier Drogba is 32 years old, he'll be 33 by the time the seasons finished, how much would you pay for him?

Upwards of £20mill no doubt.

if Fabiano is anything like Drogba at all he'll be good and still good for at least 3 years.

Because he's brazilian, he must be great ... let's sign him. Christ, Gilberto Silva and our ex left back Gilberto were in the brazil world cup squad and their past it/crap ... does that mean we must sign/re-sign them too?

We need an upgrade on the strikers that we've got and a further attacking midfield option wouldn't go a miss too.

People say that we shouldn't moan as we've just qualified for the champs league but what their missing is that once the champs league starts we'll have a league game 3-4 days later ... if we play like we did against wigan, we can kiss goodbye to staying in the champs league.

I'm not being negative, just saying how it is ... I've had a death in my immediate family today so apologies if i've offended anyone :)

Drogba is an awesome player but hand on heart, has Fabiano set La Liga alight? No.

He should play for England too, he scored 3 goals against Villa. That means he's better than Fabiano also.

Not because he scored 3 against villa. He's young, strong, know's where the goal is, enthusiastic/eager to impress ... a player that with the right guidance who could be a hit in the premiership. He doesn't have to be our number 1 striker, he could be someone that we mould into a quality player in 2-3 yrs.

I just don't get the whole 'he's brazilian he must be great' ... brazil were crap at the world cup!

Torres and Van persie are nothing like Drogba. Tevez is also sooo different to those players.

I dont know how some of you class them under the same category. The one thing they all do have in common is that they are world class forwards (RVP debatable). But in terms of what they offer they are nothing alike.

Drogba is the closest to the all in one hold up forward, with strength, speed and great finishing that we all want as spurs fans. Torres offers the speed and finishing for liverpool (of the highest order) but not the rest. Tevez is just a hard grafting player, with good technical ability and again v.good finishing etc..

But dont talk about all of them in the same breath.

Drogba, Berbatov, Ibra, Dzeko - now they are all similar players!

Not sure if anyone has mentioned that Fabiano was only on the subs bench for Sevilla tonight and he didnt even come on. Looks promising.

I disagree with people saying we should go for Carroll instead. Fabiano is a proven striker that has played at the top level for a while now with a proven goalscoring record.

People seem to think once a player hits 30 his days are over. With the way players look after themselves now they can play until they are in there mid thirties quite easily.

Carroll who isnt a bad player but has achieved nothing yet would not take us to the level we are aiming for.

Especially as he was originally supposed to be starting apparently...I guess this also means he wasn't one of the players thAt were supposed to have been in London for talks.....

what does torres have to do to be classified as strong? i remember him out muscling vidic at OT and speeding past him for a neat finish. if he wasnt prone to injury he would easily outscore drogba.. best all in one CF in the world for me; he should be in that list too.

I'm no ITK but on another forum we post the ITKs off this site for everyone to have a look and a guy on there messaged me regarding the bit from yesterday saying Gio on loan to Sevilla

he said that Levy would like to offload Gio and spend his transfer money elsewhere, nothing earth shattering I know but it ties into what the ITK had brought up.

Fabiano isn't as good as any of the above and doesn't actually offer what any of them offer.

Please explain what each of them offer and then explain in what way Fabiano is different.

Don't worry Bus-Conductor is still upset we sold Kanoute and would probably want him back ahead of Fabiano.
