Half expecting a concerned JJ anytime soon...
Just to delay you going over the edge imminently...:

Well last night JJ said in general terms about our going ons and targets:

@mnw1979 we are working on it-if we weren't then it's cause to be upset but that's not the case

@mnw1979 also I think we'll be fine

@mnw1979 I can't help meltdowns. When there isn't any info people fill in the gaps themselves

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So lets keep a semblance of level headedness for now.

Although it is hard and i'm quite often positive.

Ladies, calm down. Illaremendi was identified as one target and, according to itk, a deadline was set. That deadline/decision has obviously been reached and we move to another target. Sounds sensible enough to me.
There's a lot of nervous tension in the room today- dare I say it but what we need to expunge this tension is a Bender in the squad.

We would have known Illarra was off to Sociedad for a few days now so hopefully JJ is implying that we have already moved on to our alternatives.

I know haha I was generally being sarcastic, but as we know a lot can change in 12 hours

We'd be subsidising the dildo brothers' relegation avoidance battle
Agent Ade rocking up in his gold plated roller to pick up a wage more than triple what anyone else in the squad is making and refusing to remove his beanie in training whilst spouting conspiracy theories to anyone who is around... Yep: recipe for success right there.

I don't want to do West Ham any favours at all. Let them pay full whack or no deal. Will be sick if we send Lennon their way too.
I'm sure Daniel Levy feels the same way after the Olympic Stadium debacle.

It's a good point about the UCL qualifiers. There may be teams willing to sell and players willing to move if they don't progress to the next round. It could well be that some of our primary targets are in this position...we could have deals in place depending on the outcome of these matches.

Optimistic I know but perhaps also true. Maybe the reason the right SB bid has not gone in is because the #1 choice is playing yesterday or tonight.

Actually there is even more reason to remain patient. Once the end is approaching all deals will go the distance. It's squeaky bum time, who blinks first etc. The ITK we have had all points towards things going on through this week, hopefully we have enough deals in principle in place to enable swift closure when the time comes.
And how many times have we said that in the last 6-8 weeks?!?!?
We've had claims of 48 hours that never came to fruition!

Here is todays thread.

Todays media stories

Fazio - Everton to bid 5m
Lamela - In talks with Milan according to daddy
Berahino - Another bid to go in. Yawn.
Ian* - We're 'considering' making a move

*Illarramendi but who wants to spell that all the time?

Now get thee hence to each individuals players threads to comment. Run! Run like the wind.

I feel the time is now right to ask that Berahino fee chat etc now also moves into this thread. Lets keep all the conspiracy nutters in one place :p

How much was our bid for Berahino? See the first post for some guidance.

Knowing the idiots in here @Archibald&Crooks this is most likely the source of confusion, some people will think that means This thread and not the player thread you refer to in the lines above

If we're selling to Everton then I hope it's for more than £5M. No reason to be doing them any favours so we should be looking to recoup all of what we paid for him.
