I know what you mean, I’d love us to be after a Mudryk type etc, but we know Conte is a big fan of Zaniolo. It might not be sexy, but I think it would be good to give the manager his his top choice (assuming he still is) if we can.

Yeah, that's the only one that is intriguing. It seems a difficult deal to do this window though, unfortunately.

We hadn’t even been linked with bentancur at this point in the window last January and they’d only been tenuous links to kulusevski by this date in 2022. Trouble is, we’ve some hard games this month and could do with players in. There just seems to be no plan but us looking for opportune signings. Anyway, I’m just posting to say that lots could still happen and we could still get some quality players in so no need to panic yet.

Chris Cowlin had some transfer expert journo from the Daily Express on his show yesterday and this was what he seemed to be implying. We're open for any good players at bargain prices but whether we have a proper strategy is more doubtful.

Despite the number of winner ratings you've got I would dispute the 'decent record'. Hit and miss at best.

Really disappointing news though. Two clear targets. One a last minute brinkmanship deal- where the likelihood of failure is always high. And the other is pre-determined by needing to get one or two players out first.

Nothing has changed.
