Anyway its good to hear that we're confident about making at least one signing this window. Two would be unexpected considering our squad size at the moment.

If Janssen and N'Koudou do leave as expected with Dembele already gone the club will simply have no excuse if they fail to acquire at least one player. Not a bash on the ITK's as I understand they pass on what they hear in good faith but the reasoning that all our targets are simply just flat out not interested in us is hard for me to swallow. We're a champions league club with one of the best coaches in the world not some washed mid-table team like West Ham. I recall Harry Redknapp saying a while back that ultimately if you pay the money the players will come. That still rings true. Time for the club to grow some bollocks.

We were confident on deadline day of adding and nothing happened, fingers crossed something can happen in the next few days. The lads that are left standing are going to get absolutely flogged unless we do.

Potentially, and not even over dramatically, the most important 9 days of any period in our rencent history I can recall, imo.

Struggling to understand his logic on that one, but I suppose we'd all rather that than a simple case of Levy not backing him.

Not knocking the ITK, but didn't posh say in an interview that he doesn't want to sign a player for the sake of it, and would only sign one if it's a player he feels would fit into the squad and wants them?

So I think it's a bit of both the options said not just the 2nd part.

I think the notion that Poch is blocking any and all players is bollocks. I completely understand him putting the block on those players he hasn’t identified as wanting and needing. But I don’t believe that he would put the block on players that he has identified as his ‘top targets’ if the club goes all out to get what he wants.
