Fabiano playing tonight isn't a disasterà if worse comes worse and we end up in the europa league he won't be cup tied. That's something to consider, even if we quality for champs league we could finish 3rd and end up in europa so European football can still be offered
Not exactly sure if this is correct. Can anyone confirm Vipers comments?

After the match last night, in the hotel bar, my friend who Harry made the JJ comment to overheard Levy and Harry in conversation, with the former coming out with something along the lines of 'Defoe had better score soon'. Seeing as it's really slow at the moment, I thought this might be of some interest.

I love how all these whispers always, without fail, manage to know people on a message board and it finds it way here.

Why do these people never have their phones with them ? You would think the top man and manager at spurs would be worthy of a quick snap at a hotel bar wouldnt you ? Especially as said person is close enough to hear exact words in a noisey bar.

Sir Henry, with all due respect, I think my vouching for someone, as someone who a) almost never offers any kind of info and b) is a long term, completely non wum member of this board, should be enough to make what they say at least semi-credible, I wouldn't so willingly make a fool of myself on the message board would I now?

She and her brother just so happened to be staying in the same hotel as the team, and in fact, she's just now put pictures up on facebook which I will forward to an appropriate mod who happens to be here so that they can vouch for me.

Which mod?

Ah, I didn't realise you knew your contact in the biblical sense. Sorry!

(offer's still on though)

I have more stuff but as it's not particular transfer related I'm going to keep it to between her and I as I wouldn't want anything to come back to her to ruin a night that, despite the result, was an absolute dream come true for her. As we all know there's a few odd lazy journo's that lift stuff from message boards.

Dan, let's be serious. It's not as if Keane has any pace or power either, and Pavlyuchenko is Iverson incarnate - no pace and easily knocked off the ball.

I can not say with huge conviction that Huntelaar will be the new messiah but if we safely assume that both keane and Pav will be sold before (the equally lightweight but pacey) Defoe and we end up with a striker force of Crouch, Defoe, Huntelaar + either Pav/Keane/GDS or another addition then we will at least have comlete variety. Crouch offers team work, hold up and target - Defoe offers off the shoulder pace and his powerful whack everything finish and Huntelaar offers calm reasonably lethal poaching with a bit of stature that Defoe lacks.

Like I said, I'm going balls out with my praise for Huntelaar - he might not work - but could he be any worse generally than Keane or Pavlyuchenko ?

I do think Huntelaar is a considerably worse player than both Keane and Pav.

None of our forwards actually have much pace (even Defoe doesn't after the first 2 yards), but Huntelaar makes Sheringham look nippy (even at 44).

Our striking balance is so bad - we have no hold up play (Crouch may win balls but doesn't hold on to them), limited link up play, no genuine pace and no-one really prolific. We just have a batch of striking mediocrity and Huntelaar wont improve on that.

We should hijack Blackpool's bid for Brett Pitman.

Who needs Fabiano when you have Pitman?

You've posted a few good comments today Dan and as I respect everyones right to their own opinion and the right to state it, don't you possibly think that you have made your dislike for Huntelaar well known by now, I, like many others am well aware of this but to be honest it's getting a bit boring.
