Not much at all to give you today, yesterday's ITK was dominated by brownhead who gave us as much as he could when he posted this......
Who: brownhead
When: 17th August, 12:10am
Site: SC
Pletikosa, passed medical but not convinced with fitness/ability looks very rusty (hence the weeks training, he is really being put through it to see if he still got it)
Bellamy, Richards, Ireland, SWP, None happening. City def not playing ball, cant stand us from Corluka deal, beating them to champs league, jealous of us and do not want to strengthen us
Gallas, being worked on hard to get done asap
Young, still arrys choice (once knew Bellamy was a no go) being worked on, issues with fee and villa, personal terms would not be a prob, he wants to come. Still trying but conscious of when done/being cup tied and price.
Capel, Been offered to us, (attractive to us if we cannot get Young) available at a good price we think, and if it helps another deal go through!! then we may just end up with him, however there is again an atmosphere with the Sevilla board due to Ramos saga and deals are extra tricky with them
Fabiano, Its true, DL working extra hard. DL in Seville as of last night, its complicated due to wages, Sevillas dislike of us and DL, Capel being almost pushed in as part of the deal.
Remy, Back up for Fabiano deal. Agreed in principal for 10m deal plus add ons. Told them will are waiting CL qualification, but is really to see what happens with Fabiano
Khumalo, been and gone. Didnt impress in trial

Jenas, Has option of Juve, Fiorentina, Liverpool and Fulham also interested in loan deal, but Jenas has heart on going to Italy, this also suits us.
Hutton, Cannot agree fee as yet with Birmingham, still ongoing, Newcastle interested too.
Bentley, Hughes a big fan, would like him. Just whether Fulham can afford it. No one else interested.
O'Hara, will be off to West Ham once fit.
Pav, being offered about by agent (we secretly ok with this). Marseille did enquire but put off by price. He will be the striker to leave.
Keane, staying, realises will get fair share of games. However, he has said this before but then when doesnt start for a few, asks to leave.
Plenty there for you to mull over......However, a bit later, brownhead returned with a coded message and a goodbye.......

I cannot posT anymore. Well not me good stUff. So faRewell all. I will still pop in now and agAin. I have left my last bit of the itk and something else grouNd breaking!!!
COYS
EDIT: Bolded the key capitalised letters for ease of use.
Certain members must have knocked one out on the spot once they realised who he was referring to.......

And that's it. Skinny update or what?

After watching that last game last night I wouldnt be suprised if Turan, Fabiano et al decided "thanks but no thanks"....

Many would see Fabiano and Turan as not being ideal, with age issues and settling in the premiership a worry. Valid concerns but both should be a massive improvement on whom they are replacing. These are 2 realistic possibilities I would love to see at WHL.

The flip side is they both would think that they have got a good chance of going straight into the side.

last night proved that we need an experienced CB, some creative flair, and someone who can finish.

Go all out for Gallas, Turan and Fabiano pls Daniel.

i think we need pace in every player we sign, we seem to be lacking that just now! though YB's did seem to have some fast players which didnt help.

A new CB and a striker who can finish would be great! and if JJ Ohara and Bently go, a CM/RM could be needed

We need a striker. We carry no threat up front despite Pav's wonder goal.

Also...I hope people can see why we want Gallas. Experience and pace.

Personally I feel our Champions League debut was our opportunity to show any potential "marquee" signing(s) our credentials and how we entend to progress by stamping our authority on a game. Just because we qualified for the qualifiers doesnt guarantee that the Fabiano's of this world are going to want to join us.. Now I know one game shouldn't make a players mind up re a transfer.. but when we are looking to convince this "next level" or "world class" player(s) to join us - we need to prove that we can qualify for the champions league, progress well and build season on season.. not struggling away from home against the runner up in the Swiss League..Last night probably didnt bode well in terms of convincing these players we have been linked with to choose us over any other teams.. would assume ITK will be scarse from now until next Thursday!

I dont think the game last night will make players go, Yeah i want to sign for them. But the way we did come back into the game does show what we have and what we can do, so taking the small posative out of that we could still get some players we were hoping for
