Regarding Gio still might leave us. I think Tuesday will tell us everything (I am right that if he plays for us he will be ineligible to play for anyone else in the CL?).

That old chestnut  You think the prices will be cheaper if we didn't sign Parker? We'll just sign someone else nobody rates instead, the prices will increase regardless.

Exactly. We're not Leeds and we're nowhere near any kind of financial meltdown judging by our last few annual accounts. We're a well run top team and have a very astute businessman at the helm. If Harry wants Parker and Levy ok's it, that means the club can afford it. No problems.

i know we can afford him but the main point is it would still be a waste of money, its like buying a 2nd hand depreciating top of the range mountain bike that's prone to mechanical problems for a brand new price and not using it much. sorry for the shit anaology but thats the best i could come up with atm lol.

Guys are you sure Parker is not a smokescreen? ... Just asking! I just don't see where he will fit in Spurs. He ain't top 4! why don't we go for Milner or Ireland?
Well, my contact was perhaps right about a French player. I'd rather it was Gourcouff! But Remi as some1 said could be our Drogba...Gallas too would be good - experienced and strong and scoring the odd goal...

Exactly...well said. Hopefully a smokescreen is what this is, We don't need to waste resourses on Parker. We don't need him!

Absolutely no chance at all of signing Stevie G. He would undo all the years of being at Liverpool, we couldn't afford his wages and who would you rather go to us or Real Madrid (if you not a Spurs fan). Harry would never have bothered.

We weren't. But it would seem from the info from Scutch a couple of months back, and Harrys words here, that perhaps he was open to the move. I'd guess Jamie must have spoke with gerrard, maybe he was so pissed off with Benitez that he was ready to go anywhere.

Obviously in the end Hodgson came in so any potential move was finished before it could get started.

I have it on good authority that it got as far as a medical, which he failed, for not having a forehead.
