this is strange because he was always due to go there, come back for the QPR game, then fly out again. If that is the 'walk out' then it is expected and agreed.

The general gist of the story in L'Equipe is that the squad list submitted by the Togo coach was subsequently altered by the Togo FA. This has understandably upset the coach and a number of the players, including Ade, who has said that he no longer wishes to participate in the tournament.

I think if he showed anywhere near the effort he did last season then for sure. what did an ITK (Aqua i think) refer to him as in the summer 'the smiling Teddy bear' not seen that smile yet, this season

Hope so. He was so good last year. The sooner he starts playing up top on his own the better. I like Defoe but I'm a believer that the rest of the team suffers when he plays and I think he is best coming from the bench now. Dempsey and Adebayor have shown a few signs they can link well and I would like it to be given a good chance.

I can't believe that he is THAT lazy. Guy earns crazy amounts of money and is too slack to kick the ball for a couple of hours on regular basis!

Don't get me wrong, I get what you're saying but we're in the top 4, Bale is having his best goal scoring season, Lennon looks like he is back to his best. And I think that is partly due to the confidence they have in Defoe. But I do get tired of seeing Defoe pinging a 30 yard shot when he had better options in the pass.

If Adebayor does end up staying I suspect it will slightly shift our priorities, although personally I'd like to see another target man-esque striker come in anyway for those days when Adebayor simply can't be arsed or when we play Arsenal.

I like the sound of the Korean chappy from Hamburg. If he can play in numerous positions then that's very good for our squad and he sounds like a decent player. Would be good if we heard some positive news on that front today.
