Would be absolutely disgusting, and such a transparent way of getting around the ffp rules etc. I can’t believe that we’d get away with it for starters, or that the club would even consider it. It’s far worse than the super league imo.

Maybe they’ll realise they like London and our stadium more because it has actual fans in it and City will become our bitch instead?

There was an ITK rumor last week that the stadium naming rights was linked to Kane. It made no sense to me because why would someone invest in naming rights for a ten year period or so over a player who likely has a few years at best left. This makes more sense, but I just can’t see us being Ok with this. I think everyone assumed that was Kane staying, but leaving? Absolutely crazy and I struggle to think we would help them skirt FFP to take our best player.

There used to be a football club over there.

I sure hope that this report of a uae airline, any link to the Kane transaction, and naming rights, are all false. I can't exactly switch clubs after all these decades, so I suppose I will have to stay here, but I would prefer that Tottenham Hotspur didn't become a Petro funded club.

I'd say taking Petro dollars will be more uncool with every passing summer of wildfires and winter of floods.

I'd rather be more of an underdog with less money.

I know many if not most of you will disagree, and perhaps feel that THFC deserves to win the league however it's done. Happily for you I've got no influence over these things whatsoever.

Perhaps the info will turn out to be incorrect, but actually I think this will happen. This is the sponsor most likely to pay the most of those I can imagine, and I suppose that DL will be aiming for (insisting on) the highest possible amount regardless of my views. Perhaps that is his job.

My heart sank like a brick reading that money laundering shit.

And I was so happy about Kane fucking off. Just had to read through every page.

I'd want any team doing shit like this to be whacked with all sorts of bans. I'm not going to suddenly stop wanting that just because my team do it.

I really hope this is Levy secretly playing a blinder and going along with this whilst wearing a wire then once Kane is sold and they come good on the deal for the naming rights it’s boom! It’s all on tape and City are relegated to the conference. Kane was acting all along and he comes back and pens his new deal. It’s genius and we’re back in the big 4!

Possibly even worse than the Super League. At least with that they were fucking off to play rush goalie in their own secluded corner.

Shipping players around state-owned clubs in return for patronage of state-owned firms while remaining among peers is just sadistic.

It’s fucking diabolical. I’d be quite happy to see both City and Spurs relegated if they did this.

I posted earlier in the Kane thread that 'my heart just sank a little..'

With the above suggestion, my stomach has just plummeted...

Every year Spurs break my heart a little bit more. I really hope this naming rights story isn’t true. They will always be my team but I can’t give them any of my money anymore. This would just be a new low.

It’d be just our luck to completely lose any moral high ground in terms of ‘doing it the right way’ but not even receive the true Monopoly money of a state led or oligarch takeover in return.

So how does this work in theory? They get Kane, we get £120m and a wapping great stadium sponsorship deal from an AD based company?

And we’re signing a Dodo?

A day in the life of Tottenham!

The main thing that doesn’t add up with this is we would have got a lot more business done by now if this was the plan all along. I’m really hoping this is false info.
