I messaged both @Archibald&Crooks and @Rob on July 26 to inform them that I had been given info from one of my contacts about Kane - the same person who has been adamant about Kounde not signing for Spurs. I was told that the offer was going to be £120m for Kane but that there would be an accommodation arrived at on stadium naming rights with an Abu Dhabi based company. The figure given was huge.

Well this would be fascinating if true. We're diving into the deep end if so.

Also, I really want a Lateral Dodo at our club.

That’ll be me done with the club then.

It would. If nothing more than to see the hypocrisy that no doubt would be displayed by some to this source of funds.

Tbf, half the people in here have said the same thing about Kounde. Otoh, I kind of like the notion that Etihad would do to City what Kane is doing to us.

If we make some type of deal like that, we really will be City's bitch. Wouldn't sit right with me whatsoever, and doubtless a huge part of the fanbase.

Am I understanding that correctly?

The Kane fee and stadium rights are linked?

That’s a bit. Errrr. Yeah…

Would be absolutely disgusting, and such a transparent way of getting around the ffp rules etc. I can’t believe that we’d get away with it for starters, or that the club would even consider it. It’s far worse than the super league imo.

We’d essentially become their feeder club.

Well we had Utd first, then Madrid. I guess we kind of miss that “special relationship”.

Absolutely ESL level debacle if there's any truth in it, to be honest. Throughout this whole Kane mess I've been pretty chill and pragmatic, but reading that has pissed me right off. Rather take 120 for him and he can piss of up there and call it quits than sell out to Abu Dhabi.

(Google Translate) Information: Shakhtar's lateral dodo has a proposal from Tottenham. The British sent in an offer of 20 million euros and Shakhtar refused. Conversations follow, Ukrainian club wants to sell for higher value.

A lateral Dodo….

Never seen him play but going by the fortunes of The Dodo, Dodi, Di, Dando, and Dido this doesn't seem promising.

Them getting Kane for a bargain and us getting whacked with a 2 year transfer ban by UEFA for dodgy finances for helping them out would be very Tottenham

There was an ITK rumor last week that the stadium naming rights was linked to Kane. It made no sense to me because why would someone invest in naming rights for a ten year period or so over a player who likely has a few years at best left. This makes more sense, but I just can’t see us being Ok with this. I think everyone assumed that was Kane staying, but leaving? Absolutely crazy and I struggle to think we would help them skirt FFP to take our best player.
