Buttler to get out very quickly followed even quicker by the tail. That's how these things usually pan out isn't it?

My children 6/11 yrs respectively got a superb invite to watch the two teams train at the grange yesterday (scot/eng odi today). The scot team held themselves superbly came over chatted to the kids, told them about their personal faliures and successes, Eng team trained and fucked off. Not even a wave. The kids were all in their kits (superstars, its a joint ecb/sky thing) and some were beside themselves with excitement to get to chat with the England stars.
It's not often I feel like this, they embarrassed me (being English). And I've been trying very hard to get them to embrace both their nationalities.
Today and for one day only "COME ON SCOTLAND".
Sorry to put it on here, never nice to hear shit about your country representatives being arseholes. But there it is. I hope a cricket ITK reads this and passes on the disappointment shared by 21 children.

Sad to hear that.
It wouldn’t have taken much effort from them to make a young kids day

There's representing your country and then there's really representing your country. How can they be soo callous?

Scotland is playing well. Hopefully, this helps to convince the ICC to let associate members back into the WC in 2023.

Surely Trevor Bayliss has to go? There’s very little to be proud of in English cricket at the moment: our test side sucks, our panel of selectors are incompetent and have their favourites, arguably our best bowler ever is on his last leg and we’ve warmed up for the World Cup with an embarrassing loss to the cricket equivalent of Accrington Stanley.

I say this as an Englishman - absolutely triffic for Scotland today. Well done. They put up a great total and kept going.

As for the England ODI team... ODI clearly meant 'Obviously Dickheaded Idiots'. What a bunch of JAMFS (Jive-Ass Muthafuckers).

I worked at the match today and know most of the Scotland team and their coach Grant Bradburn. Under Grant they have been making great strides in the last four years. Much more professional, fitter and generally terrifically athletic in the field. Most of the players are county players these days and the handful that aren’t are centrally contracted to Cricket Scotland. Makes a big difference.

Ireland have full test status, yet Scotland have been the better team for about maybe 2 years now ( the teams have generally been nip and tuck for a long time ), having a steady influx of decent younger players to back the more seasoned players, whilst Ireland have stagnated.

Today was historic and truly a pleasure to be involved in. Most of the English crew I was working with were happy for Scotland, for what it meant for us after the tragedy of the West Indies D/L method match and the disgrace of the 10 team World Cup. It’s a big message to the ICC.

Great match. On the edge of my seat at the end.
