It's up to Roy to earn his place. He's had one blinding innings on this mini-tour and that's not that much away from anyone else's efforts thus far.

What does go unnoticed is that South Africa are quietly building a decent team and have improved a lot at white ball in the last couple of years. They aren't a pushover.

We've 3 ODI's and 3 T20's against Bangladesh next month and he's got it all to do. I still have faith in him and hope he does well.
Roy has been poor in the SA20 as well, not sure what he's got on the management that keeps him in the side?!

It's not fair that India were able to doctor and un-doctor the pitch between innings.
That can be the only reason why one team bowled and batted so well and the other one didn't.

I resigned myself to losing this series months ago.
June 1st at Lords is a different matter.
Neutral ground and 1 test.

The smugness is strong in this young padewan.
Not so young, my friend. I'm old enough to have seen India be all out for 42 against England. And not so smug either. The Indians are so brittle and could easily lose the next test or two and I wouldn't be at all surprised.
I just think it's a bit rich that Aussies are complaining about crowds when they have the rowdiest and most partisan fans at MCG, SCG, etc.

Compared to Delhi? Really? Mumbai? Your having a laugh mate.
To be honest when you play in Australia we hardly have a home crowd!

another truly 'England' first days play.

bat like an ODI, declare on the first day (!), pick up 3 wicket to end up well on top.

it's batshit crazy, we'll look silly at some times, but it's bloody good fun.

Broad the first England bowler since Freddie Trueman to clean bowl the first three batsmen in the opening order and he's also clean bowled the 5th wicket (his fourth).

Amazing spell.
