Hi all

I am not the most active poster anymore and I very rarely start a new thread but in this case I am going to make an exception.

One of my friends has a little boy called Teddy and he is very unwell, he is suffering with the same condition which took little Bradley lowery and has been undergoing months of chemo. Having initially been given less than 50% chance of beating this horrible condition, he has been doing very well. But he needs help and his family and friends are trying to raise funds for potentially lifesaving treatment in the US. Unfortunately this is very expensive.

He is only 3 years old and is obsessed with trains, alas he is not a football fan but this is one of the biggest communities that I can think of to get the message out. Please do not give more than you can afford, but every little bit helps.

The link to donate is here: https://www.solvingkidscancer.org.uk/Appeal/teddylichten

Thank you very much Johnny.

I am very sorry for bumping this thread but this is an important and good cause but I will only do it this once. It is truly heart-breaking to see my friends and such a small boy go through this awful ordeal. He really is a lovely little boy and he needs help to beat this thing.

Sorry @Geez but is it possible to get this thread or my initial post above posted to the news page for a week or so?

A recent update they posted on FB (although this was 5 days ago and they are now at 15k):

Cannot believe we have cracked £11k already!!

I wondered yesterday if we could reach £10k by the end of our first week, but somehow we have surpassed that in the first 5 days! We can't thank everybody enough who has already donated, shared, and pledged to fundraise on Teddy's behalf.

I am now back home with our youngest and Teddy remains in hospital with his dad, Alastair. Needless to say I miss them both terribly, even though I am happy to be reunited with baby Rupert after a long 5 day separation.

Teddy has begun to slow down a bit now the chemo is kicking in but he is still his funny and cheeky self. I'll be sad to see him become more poorly over the next few weeks as we wait for his stem cell transplant to work, but I trust he'll be back up and making mischief in a few weeks time.

Sorry for the delay Phantom in replying - I'm trying to deal with several crises at work at the moment

I sympathise with your request as I work for a disability charity which has many disabled children using our services

However, IMO this does not classify as a News item

If you want to take this I suggest you pm Rob the SC owner for an ultimate ruling

No problem at all, I'm not going to argue, it is very clearly not a Spurs related news piece. Just thought it was worth asking.
