So what's the bloody problem with Rose now?

His fitness is becoming quite frustrating imo. Such a bloody shame.
Gash on his shin. Probably sensitive to the touch, so any impact even with pads might be quite painful to play through. Poch says he'll be assessed for the bench however.

Sorry Kieran, I just don’t think you’re that good. Definitely not as good as you think you are.

What games have you seen Aurier in recently that makes you think he should be 1st choice?

How can Poch continue to get this so wrong?

You see the thing is, if Aurier starts, I'll support him and won't post incessantly about how poor I think he is at every opportunity.

If you acknowledge the mistakes you have been making, how you’re always out of position, how you can barely put a tackle in, how you often play dodgy passes when under pressure, how you have little or no aerial prowess, you’ll understand why a vast majority of the fans want you out of the side.

Aurier hasn’t been given many opportunities, much like Walker Peters, but when they have, they haven’t performed nearly as bad and at direct fault for many conceded goals.

To answer you question, Aurier didn’t play badly against Inter, Chelsea or Leicester in his more recent appearances. Trippier has been our worst player and clear weak link in pretty much each and every appearance lately. Why do you think other teams are now targeting him/you. 3 assists this season isn’t enough to justify the horrific defensive performances.

If you think Trippier is performing well and not a cause for concern, you’re the one talking utter fucking crap.

Leceister was 2 months ago, the other games you're talking about were November. He's started 8 games at League/CL level for a reason...he switches off regularly, gives the ball away through poor passing, has a terrible first touch and gives away far too many stupid fouls from his consistently poor decision making.

Look at the last chance he got, started vs. Watford and stank the place out so badly he was hauled off at half time.

Tough choice this, I'd probably go with:

Lloris
Aurier Alderweireld Sanchez Vertonghen
Sissoko Winks Eriksen
Moura Lamela Son
With Lamela as the central striker dropping off the front. That formation could easily look like the diamond we have been playing, but I hope that isn't the case - I want to see Moura and Son on either side and then providing some protection on the flanks when we don't have the ball.

I didn't think Rose would play this anyway, given he never plays two games in a week anymore it seems. I honestly said to those I watched the game with at the weekend that I suspected Vertonghen would play left back in midweek again.

Dier hasn't played for weeks, and his limited outings haven't exactly been convincing, he hasn't earned his place back. Llorente I'd consider starting as its the home tie and we might have a bit more territory/impetus in this, but I think I'd use him as an impact sub.

I think the main thing, whoever is selected, is that our work without the ball is crucial in this. We need everyone switched on putting in a shift, a solid compact shape that isn't getting exposed, and in general it being much better than it has done in recent weeks, even months.

Again, find anything in match threads or team threads from me about Serge that have the same venom as the mountain of posts about Trippier from other supporters.

You literally just posted about how he stank the place out against Watford. Your unconditional love for Trippier is as sad as your little spam ratings.

That's not what you said, you said you won't post incessantly about how poor he is but you do indeed do that, which always made me laugh as you complained people do that to Trippier.

Think you need to look up incessantly and check your facts, because you're wrong.

incessantly means constantly and you changed it to say "venomous" so maybe you need to look it up, once you're done there, use the search function and type the word aurier in by member Paolo10 and you can see I'm correct.

I read just fine, you said you won't post incessantly, I called bullshit on that and then you try and change it to with as much Venom as the mountain of posts. As I said I find it funny how staunchly you defend Trippier although admittedly people go way over the top but you can't see how you consistently complain about everything Aurier does. The funny part is I actually agree with you that Aurier hasn't taken his chances when given to him, I think whoever is RB tomorrow makes little difference defensively as both have been poor so might as well take the better attacking outlet.

I really think we have to play Llorente. We just have no focal point without a centre forward. As soon as Llorente went off at Chelsea and it was Lamela, Moura and Eriksen up front, we basically never had the ball in a forward position again. Obvs we have Son now but he's so wasted playing at the point man with no one to play off. And Dortmund as I understand it have an aerial weakness at centre back with players missing.

You know...in a strange kind of way, I really do quite hope that Juan Foyth doesn't play a single game in midfield in his entire fucking career.
