Why do you hate Pochettino?

What is more important to you - the long-term goal of Pochettino building his philosophy into the squad's DNA, or the short-term goal of trying to mix and match tactics without mastering any of them?

Lamela will be eaten alive if selected for this game..probably get sent off after half a dozen pleading stares at the ref gets him nothing and he starts getting petulant.
Or he might be MOTM.
Not worth the gamble.

I want the same team to get familiar with each other and the same team who has played together the majority of the season.

RE Lamela: Don't know what eaten alive is meant to mean but if you're not gonna play your prized asset in these games then what's the point, these are the games he was bought for and these are the games he needs to play him in order to help him fulfill potential quicker.

I don't hate MoPo. Where did that come from? I don't agree with everything he does and certainly disagree with one size fits all.

He may rotate players slightly differently or adjust positions in-game and have players covering different zones at different times but it will all be off of 4231. He'll get that ingrained.

It's a different game with your back to the goal and trying to hold the ball up, Play Adebayor or Soldado.

I personally would like to try it. Not saying it will work but he has most if not all of Ade's attributes plus he is in form

Actually I think you will find its playing through balls and the striker falling over.
Lamela will be fine, plus he happens to work all over the pitch, tracking back and pressing.

5 out of 10 times we will be beaten by 3 goals or more. 9 out of 10 times we will be beaten. What's not worth a gamble?

I'm all for setting the tactics up to the oppenents in this particular game, but if we don't have any weapons city will be afraid of, it will be ugly.

So Even Lennon Could be useful in this game, cause city will have to be aware of his pace on the counter (not that They should)...

I would go for the same tactics as we did against Arsenal. And lamela is very good at pressing and be energetic. Eriksen also. They are not good duellers, but good pressers. It's a big difference...

City have 3 argies that will probably play.
They will telling there manager not to let him have the ball anywhere near there box.
He will be double marked.
This will be a big advantage to us.

I can understand your point. My counter point would be: any player replacing lamela will be poor. Most likely all of our players except Lloris will be poor in this game. So why not play someone with potential? Like lamela?

He played there last year and was one of our better player's.
They will weary of his passing and ability.
You don't drop your most creative player.
