We need to bully Arsenal. I'd put Soldao in 100%. Should we be in a position to win a pen or two, we need him on the field.
At this point i think we should give Soldado another shot at making the forward position his own, if it doesn't work out then we can think about moving him on in January, but until then i think we should try and back him to be our number 1 forward. Ade has really been useless this season and even if Soldado doesn't score, his build up play is excellent and benefits the team more then Ade does. I would use Ade in Europa and Soldado in the league, at least for the time being.

i didn't say we should play the side that lost to WBA, changes have to be made for the tough task away to the scum, but to just pick the same side that hopefully performs against Forest is naive. We were poor last week and heads will roll, i would be very worried if Poch didn't have a better tactical plan up his sleeve for the scum game then just whoever plays well against Forest wiil play on saturday...very worried.
You're hoping he is the type of manager who has a different tactical plan for the big clubs.
Poch's Southampton record against the top 4 teams from last season isn't much to be proud of and he had a FAR better looking squad than we have now. How do I know that? Well on our 5th match this season, we lost at home to 19th place West Brom and looked like the biggest pile of dogshit in the whole of Europe. On their 5th match last season, Poch's Southampton faced 5th place Liverpool at Anfield and won 1 nil. You see? A better team than us.

Here's Poch's top four record:

Arsenal 2-0 Southampton
Southampton 2-2 Arsenal

Chelsea 3-1 Southampton
Southampton 0-3 Chelsea

Man City 4-1 Southampton
Southampton 1-1 Man City

Liverpool 0-1 Southampton
Southampton 0-3 Liverpool

And us:

Tottenham 3-2 Southampton
Southampton 2-3 Tottenham

Look, I'm not trying to write off Poch. But truly great managers have clear tactical ideas when approaching big games like the one we're heading into this Saturday, tactical ideas which are different to when they're facing the easier teams. They're analysing individual opposition players, the danger men, thinking about the best way to handle them etc. This Saturday is Poch's next big test after Liverpool, in which he was definately found wanting.

We need pace on the counter so playing Lennon and/or Townsend needs to happen in my opinion.

I think I'd actually drop Eriksen he's been very disappointing lately, I think Chadli actually offers more for this game, bigger presence, more height and has knack of scoring this season.

Lloris
Dier Kaboul Vertonghen Rose
Capoue Dembele
Lennon Lamela Chadli
Adebayor

We're going get destroyed! Hate to say it but we have fallen a long way back in the last 2 years. In fairness they have bought some good players but I just don't see where we can hurt them as we don't have a particular strength anymore.

I'm not even sure that I'm going to watch it!

Fan B: "I agree, as long as he changes his philosophy to mine, and changes it up depending on opponent"
Fan A: "But, the manager has not had time to instill his philosophy on the club, or get players who fit that philosophy - you can't expect him to change tactics until the players learn the primary tactics"
Fan B: "Other managers change tactics all the time"
Fan A: "But, those managers have been in place for years. It takes time to get a squad playing properly"

Use this argument with a top 4 manager that HASN'T lost his marbles! LOL. (He sold Vermaalen leaving himself with 2 CB's)

Ok......CL football 17 years running, doubles, titles, invincibles and playing football the right way whilst overseeing building a new stadium......i don't think he is the one here who has lost his marbles...LOOL.

Please stop now...i hate praising the scum .

Yeah, he hadn't lost his marbles during the good years. But he has now. Surely. I seriously think he's going down hill mentally and scum fans should be concerned.

Putting Stambouli in a NLD so soon is risky but playing an off form Chiriches out of position along side Paulinho, who is yet to show he can play in a CM 2 in this league isn't?

We need two players than can win the ball, close down and play the ball forward quickly and IMO Stambouli and Capoue are probably the best fit right now.
It wouldnt be "out of position" it would be a case of putting him in his 'new' position, which he has some experience in already.

You act like Stambouli has never played a professional game against a top opponent. Plus, more than half the team is new within the last couple of years, so its not like we are overflowing with guys who are skilled and experienced in playing in a NLD. Chiriches, his replacement, also has never played in a NLD.
I meant he may not have adjusted quite to the pace of the Prem, seriously have a little think before you post, of course I know he's played against a top team before ffs!

I doubt Soldado could bully my little sister tbh, but you're right, we need to get at them physically. Kane is probably the best bet for that, maybe tell him they called his mum a slag or something, try and fire him up.

Did I really read suggestions of Lennon as a striker and Chiriches as a DMF?

....I don't even
