Capoue and Mason performed well in pre season together and have that brief familiarity already established. Mason can get us moving up the pitch more effectively with good vertical passing. Throw him in I say. Ohara had a big performance all those years ago away in the NLD.

Was very tempted to pick Kane instead of Eriksen but surely he's due a better performance, surely. And that front four is our best, I'm convinced, and must start playing together regularly.

I would say them two are more likely than Dembele, Paulinho and Bentaleb.

Eriksen, Chadli, Lamela and Soldado IMO should have enough to cause them problems.

well i think his time in france is largely irrelevant with regards to saturday's selection, he's played in as many pl games as mason at the end of the day. i was with you about not getting ahead of ourselves with mason but then you're doing exactly that with stambouli. but anyway, i don't want to make this into something as i don't particularly care who plays, i think the system is more important and i think that will be our downfall rather than personnel.

Left Townsend in there because we need some natural width. If it's not working, bring on Kane for him. Also give Mason a run in the second half. Went with Ade, as he will be up for it (a rare occasion).
