Forster
Romero - Dier - Lenglet
Porro - Sarr - Skipp - Hojbjerg - Davies
Kane - Richarlison
Two strikers against their back four keeps them pinned back, especially with Richarlison drifting over to the left. Their fullbacks have to stay at home or else leave their centre-backs one-on-one with Brazil and England’s starting strikers.

Three man midfield to match them for numbers. Skipp can mark Paqueta out of the game, while Hojbjerg and Sarr have a bit more licence to get forward and overload West Ham’s defence through the middle.

If we’re in control but can’t create chances, get Danjuma on for Davies.

Our problem is trying to get Kulusevski in there which only really works with 343. Without him we can be pretty toothless and placid up front. Having said that, 343 is so mind numbingly boring to watch I'd welcome just about anything else at this point. Even a good old 442 would be a breath of fresh air, but Conte's joined at the hip to 343 so we know exactly what we'll get, as will West Ham. Like loads of others, they can have plenty of time to prep for the inevitable.

I don’t think Kulu is playing well enough to warrant shoehorning him in right now

True, but we are utterly passive up front without him. Shame we shipped Gil out, but Conte didn't want him around.

Would either like to see the forwards from the end of the Milan match or hojbjerg in with Sarr and Skipp as a midfield 3 and one of Danjuma/Richy to partner Kane up top.

If we want to get anything from the rest of this campaign we need the attack to be firing and I would love Conte to show a cutthroat attitude up front. You have 6 capable attackers, if one isn't doing it for 45 - make the change and have them compete with each other.

Somehow naively hoping Conte could go with his preferred formation from the second half of his title winning season with Inter, lining up in a 3-5-2 or 3-4-1-2 depending on how you number it, just to shake things up a bit:

Forster
Romero - Dier - Lenglet
Porro - Højbjerg - Sarr - Emerson
Kulusevski
Richarlison - Kane

Emerson on LWB as Perisic looks like he needs a rest.
Son to come on for Kulu and Kane to drop down into the AM-role, if Kulu is as ineffective playing as a 10, as he's been on the right wing the last couple of games.

Time for Son to come out.

Forster

Romero
Dier
Davies

Emerson
PEH
Sarr
Danjuma

Kulu
Kane
Richarlison

Gone well past the time for Son to be dropped, would consider dropping Kulu too, bring in Richy and Danjuma, time to freshen things up.
Not a clue who to start with lenglet, Davies, Dier etc as one as bad as the other

Son doesn't deserve to start yet again. Neither does Kulusevski on current form.

Kane, Richi and Danjuma for me. And Sarr and Skipp in midfield.

It find it quite incredible that Sarr was supposedly not ready yet, and thus benched for half the season, and then when Conte's forced to play him he immediately looked like the best player on the pitch.

Makes me wonder about how Conte has handled some of our other players.

We would play so much more on the front foot and have much more effective pressing if he'd deviate from 523 to something like this. This looks good to me because we really have to contain Bowen, and Perisic won't do that. We have to get a good foothold in midfield and start developing Skipp into a first teamer (interchanging with Bissouma). And we have to start getting some return from Richarlison, who hasn't had a chance to get his Spurs career going.

Forster

Sanchez
Romero
Davies

Porro
PEH
Skipp
Sarr
Danjuma

Kane
Richarlison

3142 Skipp CDM, Sarr and PEH box-box CM. 2 box strikers with Porro and Danjuma excelling in beating a man and putting crosses in. More control in the midfield, quality out wide and a foot hold to keep the ball with two big strikers. Back to basics please

I mean it will be the usual 343 with maybe a change at wing back but I'd like to see

Forster
Romero Sanchez Davies
Porro Sarr Skipp Emerson
Kuluveski
Kane Richarlison

Put Kulu in a free role and get him building up his confidence by being on the ball and involved.

Richarlison deserves a chance and a pissed off Son can come on in the second half and prove him wrong.

I like Hojbjerg but I'd really like to see Skipp and Sarr together again.
I'd also like Sonny to get some bench time and let Danjuma have a run out.
Kulu needs to find some form too but we don't really have anyone to replace him, so he gets the minutes in his legs for me.

Edit. Fuck! Completely forgot about Richarlison, surely he's got to get a game soon, and not on the rw!

Is Paqueta out for them?

Big loss
Just taking a look they have quite a few players unavailable including Paqueta, Scamacca, Aguerd and Zouma.

But it's OK because Antonio will still be there to give our CB's their biannual seeing to.
