excited for this one.

nearly back to full strength minus vertonghen, looking for/expecting a big response in effort after last 3 results

I'm not taking this game for granted - yes Villa have been truely awful but we need to be professional and ruthless - full strength team for me and hopefully get a couple of goals early in the match and then sub Kane,Dier and Eriksen for second half.

Lets be honest, this is the perfect tonic to address our recent wobble.

Providing we don't roll out thinking the game is won before a ball is kicked, I think it could well be a bit of a goal fest.

We need to go at them like wolves. We need to put a message out that we are not tiring and we will not roll over.

We need to be relentless.

Such an enigma, Villa. On paper, IMHO their squad should be able to just about stay in the league. Anyway, just field the strongest side possible, no holding back. We can rest during the formality that the return leg in EL is.

Weve looked pretty flat and a bit jaded in the last 3 games, big improvement needed, just hope we haven't run out of steam, that's why im a tad anxious about this one, interesting to see how we perform.

Team picks itself I think.

I understood how much they lost in Benteke and Delph, but I agree, I really thought their signings were promising. Veretout, Ayew, Amavi, Traore, and Gestede all looked up for it. I didn't think they'd make the top half of the table, but I certainly thought they'd be safely clear of relegation.

And you can't even claim that it's Tim's fault. Garde hasn't been able to do anything with this squad either.

Ultimately it's a poor man's version of the AVB-Bale money. Too many players with too little premier experience.

Exactly, I thought they had just what was needed to stay clear. It's very weird. But the table doesn't lie.

The players didn't want to play for Tim understandably, and I don't think they're playing for garde either.
Don't really care about being relegated as long as they pick up their huge wages and tweet about their new car

Lol what a mess, I wouldn't wish that on any fan except for arsenal's... And West hams, and Chelsea's, Liverpool too, maybe stokes, maybe man city 's but no one else

This is the most important thing for me, if we go at them and give them a good hiding and show high intensity it will stop the media and the fans thinking that we are getting tired, if we drop points to Villa and do so in the fashion that we look lethargic that is all we will hear about and the more we hear it the more it will enter the players heads.

We need a win, a draw or a loss are both results that should not be happening, no excuse for anything but a win in this game, I am not taking Villa lightly however and neither should the players but on paper we should win this by a comfortable margin.

Now it's up to the players to go out and do the job show some balls and prove to themselves and everyone else that we are still in this title race and that these last two weeks have been a stumble rather than a collapse.

I want us to fuck villa so hard that they leave £100 on the side table when they leave.

Our GD is already +7 over our rivals. That is extremely difficult to make up. Probably shouldnt be our main concern. That being said, i'm going to be absolutely infuriated if our first team cant beat villa by at least 5.

its +6 on both City clubs

I'd use the opportunity to give 3 players rest; Toby Alderweireld, Eric Dier and Harry Kane. CCV, Onomah and Harrison come in for them moving Alli to the CM2.

I'd snap your hands off for a 1 nil win. City and Leicester have dropped points to villa this season. Can't be complacent, we need to play at a good tempo.
