Poch will rotate the full backs so there's no point in selecting Trippier and Davies, who I think would of been better suited for this game with Walker and Rose better suited for West Ham away. Think Son will come back in with Lamela on the bench as he missed the last few and his pressing will be critical for West Ham IMO. Also assuming Dembele won't be back until next weekend.

Anyway:

Lloris

Walker
Toby
Wimmer
Rose

Dier
Mason

Son
Alli
Eriksen

Kane

Subs: Vorm, Trippier, Davies, Bentaleb, Onomah, Lamela, Chadli

Wonder if Poch will do the time honoured thing and play Davies against his former club.

If Dier plays as DM in this one, can he play in all 3 in 7 days ? I'd be tempted to play Bentaleb alongside Mason in this one, or even Onomah or Winks.

I'd be tempted to rest Dier. He is 2 yellows away from a 2 game suspension and I don't think he is as needed against Swansea as he will be v West Ham and Arsenal and 4 games in 9 days might be a bit too much IMO.

Lloris
Walker Toby Wimmer Rose
Mason Bentaleb
Lamela Eriksen Son
Kane
Bench: Vorm, Trippier, Dier, Winks ,Onomah, Alli, Chadli

Team v West Ham

Agree with you much but would love Mason in against Arsenal, I feel more comfortable with his spirit there than not.

I always go with the rule that your next game is the most important. Therefore, pick the strongest side available v Swansea, reassess fitness v West Ham and then repeat v Arsenal. Besides, against Arsenal we have that extra 'big game' adrenaline which makes up for a lot of fatigue.

How anyone can suggest a line up without Lamela with the way he has been playing is beyond me

Almost impossible to pick a team at this point.

We need to consider all 3 games coming up somehow, but at the same time remain focused on each separate game.

Other than the back 5, which picks itself at the moment, the rest is simply up to how Poch thinks they need to be managed fitness wise in the next three games.

I think that's our strongest team with Dembele out (and assuming the rotation of fullbacks).

All depends on fitness and plans for the West Ham game though.

Understand where you are coming from, but if we want our strongest team v Arsenal we need to plan in advance so we don't have 11 knackered players on the field. Rotation is a necessary evil with games every 3 or 4 days - SAF was a master of it when ManU were at their height so I'm not embarrassed to follow suit.

Not concerned about Dier getting a yellow. Swansea won't have the ball so he won't have to make any tackles anyway.

Mason needs more minutes before Woolwich come to town

they never really had the ball that much when we played them at their place, and he was booked for a nothing tackle, his 1st of the game, and missed the Liverpool match a week later (I was so angry about it, hence why I remember it)
