Think we cause ourselves problems with half arsing the pressing, swear last year we played a higher back line.

It seems like if we don't utilise width we are incredibly easy to play against. Just crowd us out in the middle and bobs your uncle.

More width please!

Agreed just put a centre back on and push our full backs forward. Job done.

Just wondering whether switching formation has ruffled our fluidity or something.

Either way we need to really up it second half or we'll surely drop points.

If only Janssen could be said the same thing when playing..
I actually think Son has unbalanced our normal attacking 3 - seems to get in the way of the fluidity that Alli, Erik and Kane have built up over past couple of months.

We've got to win with Arsenal & Liverpool both losing but don't forget we do struggle against Sunderland sometimes. Only won 1 nil there last season in a similar type of game actually.
We also struggle to push through in a game week when when our rivals falter

This pitch isn't helpful us. Clearly they have deliberately let it grow pretty long and it's very slow and sluggish.

Certainly can't be used as an excuse though. We need to find a way somehow. This lot are shit.
Pitch sluggish,
Sunderland thuggish,
Spurs rubbish,
Defoe may punish.

Or drop Wanyama into the 3 in defence, drop Eriksen down to CM with Dembele and play 3-4-3 that way.

We need to go all out to win this. No holding back.

We've definitely struggled since the Rodwell incident. It clearly fired up their crowd and in turn their players. They have got stuck into us and not allowed us to find our rhythm, we are going to need a goal to quieten the crowd and wrestle back control of the game.

That was messy. This game is wiping that West Brom game from my memory fast. Everything that clicked that game is jarring tonight. This 4231 with Wanyama and Dembele is looking very pedestrian, Alli and Son are bumbling, Walker is hesitant, Davies the dull is on and defensively we look very vulnerable to the break.

I always worry when I see Lee Mason reffing our game. Never seems to give us anything and is a complete homer. Not a good combination for tonight.
Didn't he give Sunderland 2/3pens once about 6 years ago at stadium of light in a 3-1 defeat Darren Bent played against us - he has form against us at TSOL
