Both, but usually the right as they have Ayew on the left..

About as fast as Lamela. Maybe just a titchy bit faster, but not much. Definitely not lightning.



Most of that is an exaggeration. He is in fact almost identical to Lamela in that he does at times demonstrate great technique and vision, but also demonstrates an eraticness and unreliability and wastefulness too. He also works off the ball like Lamela and tries hard.

I would be happy to get Thauvin as long as he was cheap, 20 is way to much. As others have said, he is very similar to Lamela at the moment. If we sold Lamela and bought Thauvin i would be baffled, saying that, if we could bring him in for around 10 then i think he would be worth the gamble especially if Lloris is still here come next season. A midfield of Eriksen, Lamela and Thauvin could be very interesting indeed. Still i would prefer if we went for a right footed player, obviously Depay being the ideal.

I don't get where you guys get that he is too similar to Lamela. He has more acceleration to get past his man (and slightly more pace) and he also goes wide as well as cuts inside and crosses the ball (though his crossing could do with improving) and can use his weaker foot.

I haven't watched much French football in the last few months, after making an effort to in the early season, Thauvin though I'd say is a bit more 'nimble' and agile than Lamela which helps when dribbling, and is faster than him, but he isn't rapid. I think most of the comments are fair, much the same player.

after some more youtube scouting he seems like the kind of wanky player who would quickly get on my nerves. my guess is he'll stay in france and end up at newcastle a few years down the line making a similarly unremarkable impact as cabella.

I would rather want us go for Emmanuel Emineke than Ayew or Thauvin. He had a really good WC for Nigeria & believe with his trickery, pace & brute force upfront would definitely trouble most PL defenders

Then why doesn't it trouble defenders in the Turkish League? He has 5 goals in 32 games as a CF.

Koeman practically admits Spurs have been in contact when he said there have been no "serious" bids. That can only be in response to a typical Levy bid...
