Would have given this a like but you said brennon Johnson. Shame

I like Brennan Johnson as a right wing forward. His crosses are very good. Also finishes well. As a 21 yr old, he took responsibility last season and delivered when needed for Forest to stay up. I value that highly

If you look some of his clips, Forest wasted huge number of his chances created by him. Forest dont play possession football. Coming to a team like us under Ange, IMO, he can have a similar impact to Barnes or Gordon having for Newcastle.

Pretty much bang on how I think too although obviously D.Luiz and Eze are very different players.

Re Brennan Johnson, like him but he's more of a quick counter attack winger/forward. We have a few of them already. We need a player with tight close control who likes to stand the full back up and beat them. None of our current wingers do that (maybe Solomon or Gil but they're not going to threaten the first XI this season). We really should make a big purchase following Kane leaving, so I'd like to see it spend on a top prospect of that profile.

Re the defence, I love Romero and he's first choice for me when fit but I don't have a huge amount of confidence in his availability. Maybe one game a week this season will help. Would still rather have another CB on similar level though. 3 to rotate is fine. Most top teams have that.

Johnson isn’t actually that quick when he has time to think he’s shit, but his feet are unreal close control and he can beat players for fun

Close control and accelerating from standing start and whipping a cross is actually his biggest strength. His crosses are good and has good end product on both foot.

In the teams that came up last season, Johnson & Gnonto both have the ability. Johnson would be expensive but so will be Gnonto on relative basis. IMO, we need such a player in the squad.

Solomon is good but he is a one trick pony at times. Not saying it as a bad thing - because what he does, he does very well. We just need that additional quality on crosses.

I know we have Bentancur to come back but I feel we're a midfielder short.

Skipp is okay...but he's only okay.

Sarr, I think is still learning what sort of player he is.

Hojberg is limited and seemingly off anyway.

We need players who can link the front line and the back line.

And I think only having Bissouma and Bentancur is nowhere near enough.

Completely agree mate.

Gallagher would’ve been really nice but no chance now he’s starting games for Chelsea.

Hatate of Celtic could be a really nice option if we could get him.

I also think PEH might be off but yea agree Skipp & Sarr aren’t quite up to Bentancur & Biss levels and agree we need one more. I suppose GLC is class but he’s a like for like for Maddison rather than the more box to box n.o8 on the other side.

Im sure Ange will see this it’s just how far our budget can stretch and how many players can we move on first.

Kind of agree. But I doubt we will add in that area in this window

We definitely need a forward and a good one I think. I thought we played well and kept the ball. But i’m a little bit alarmed at where the goals will come from.

Sounds promising then. I haven't watched him that close just MOTD highlights etc and that's the impression I had.

I would expect that the price would be inflated because of PL experience and homegrown status. There's bound to be cheaper alternatives with higher ceilings outside of the PL. Might be that it's worth paying the extra with our need for home grown players.

I think Richy scores when he has chances. He had little today because they had all their players camped in and around their box. We dominated them but there was no space to pass into. If you look at the stats from Ange's Celtic Kyogo had low touches every game but he was their top goalscorer. The strikers job is to be in the right area, if the ball doesn't come there it's not necessarily their fault.

I’m not judging anything on the Scottish league and Celtic though where the league is just a given for one of two clubs. I like Richy and he is hard working but I don’t think he is going to bag a load of goals.

To be honest I wanted him when he was in the championship if you read back through my posts may have mentioned him I used to think he was wales is next star boy, the next bale but he’s probably more David Brooks.

he’s not a bad player but at 50 million I think I would pass although he is good he’s lacking in decision making and composure he reminds me a bit of Bergwijn.

There’s others out there and we should have probably gone for Harvey Barnes

Agree with most of this. For the outs I'd add sessegnon and Gill although both are injured

Winger with pace: Doku/David/Kudus/Coman who is with base

CM: Luiz is very similar to what we have

Striker: Vlahovic

What, 1 goal and 1 assist in 17 games? Not the kind of impact I would hope for.

He only out performed his xA (which he was in the bottom 8th percentile for) by 0.01, so it doesn't look like he was creating that much that was being wasted.

Sess may just work in this setup arriving with space and the boy can finish and he is home grown so I would give him one last chance

Easy to quote 17 games, when in reality he has played less than 500min with just 4 starts. Agree my dataset for Gordon is less. Villa game showed kind of impact he can have.

As for as Johnson is concerned, I stick to my opinion that he will flourish in a Ange team. At Forest , his output is wasted time & again.
