Suarez tried to take Parker out of the game, so, had he done so then "Taking the sting out of the game" (Parker) would be a true statement.

Since joining us, my respect and admiration for Parker has increased many fold, he is a player we have needed for a long time, he is taking a lot of physical punishment from opposition and still manages to stay on the pitch and contribute in a big way.

100% agree he should have walked. First foul was when he shoved Scotty in the back and then he took a look at the ball, knew he would not get there but still swung his foot at Scotty. Graham Poll also was of the opinion that he should have seen red.

It's funny how much my tune has changed. A year ago, I wanted Suarez so bad. I had somehow even dismissed the Ghana thing. And while I had no issues with Parker, I definitely would have preferred a sexier name. But at the end of the day, Parker has been a godsend and Suarez has been a horror story. And I'm glad Harry is smarter than me :grin: Except that I pay my taxes.

Personally, while I think Suarez is a rather shitty little slug, I very much doubt he's actually a racist. And I bet he actually has black friends, unlike most people who have just told an unsavory joke. :razz:

But at some point, we got it into our heads that we couldn't hate this guy unless he was a racist. And I think he's probably very easily a prick even if he is devoid of many prominent -isms. Sometimes an asshole, is simply an asshole.
