Ch 4 last night advertising schoolboy international on Thursday night at 7pm. England v Wales I think it was. Checked tv listing but nothing showing.
I've just checked and the game is available to stream - they've got:

March 28th @ 19:00 - Wales v England
April 5th @ 19:00 - England v Rapublic of Ireland
April 12th @19:00 - England v Scotland

Edit: Corrected date for Wales match, sorry.

I think the Portsmouth coach said that he hasn't got enough in his game to play up top and needs to adapt to another position.

Realised that the players in this squad are not attached to clubs, but still at school.
Never heard of any of them. Give it a miss.
Looked at pictures of England squad on the website and there is one huge difference between them and the usual under 18 club squads. Have a look.

As someone who attended every trial(my lad is in the playing squad for tonight). I agree with what you say as far as the aesthetics and I know what you are trying to say. What I can say is after looking into it myself I think/hope you are putting 2+2 together and coming up with 5(which I can understand just from viewing the squad pic), and I originally thought and said the same. What i'd say is check out the guy sat in the middle who is the chairman of the esfa and along with the head and assistant coach made the final decision on squad selection. I'll also tell you that they were exactly the same selectors last season and there was more diversity. After watching the veo back a couple of times, I believe more or less the best players were selected irrespective of ethnicity although I can see why anyone would come to the conclusion you have.

There were actually very few black players at the final stage trial maybe 5-6 out of the 36.

I wasn’t thinking it was racist, more that there is not the amount of black lads to choose from. Do any of these lads get picked up by clubs after leaving school .

Does anyone have the squad list?

Also, there's nothing listed on the channel 4 tv guide.

A lot of them will be playing National league football or just below at 17-18. My boy was released at 16 and wants to be a paramedic so didn't want to trial elsewhere despite having offers since. He plays cat 1 college football and they have beaten a number of academies as they play quite a few friendlies against them. He is registered/plays National league South at 17 which gives him a bit of pocket money while at college.

They are put forward for this supposedly as being the best players from each county by the county associations after playing inter County Schools football.

Some will be picked up I'm sure, but their age is against them now. Others are pursuing other careers so it's not even on the radar.

Devine part of the buildup to Plymouth's opener and Phillips with a tackle that Ledley King would be proud of.

Thanks for sharing. Didn't know how quick Phillips was but he looks to have some decent pace on him. Certainly helps that he has long enough legs to help him make blocks.
