We've recalled Alfie Devine from loan, wonder if it's because we will integrate him into squad given injuries etc or will he move to a club in higher division

Hmm interesting, I personally think it'll be because we'll send him to a team in the championship, but who knows.

We weren’t wrong with Madueke, his decision. Same as City weren’t wrong with Sancho. With regard to Edwards, you can only stick with someone so long when they are acting Like a prat.
Do you think we should persevere with Spence.?
Ange has encouraged a great team spirit which doesnt need a dipstick like Spence spoiling it.
Look at the problems Pogba caused at Man United.
People make me laugh when they talk about a pathway to the first team. There is always a pathway if you are good enough. That is the only criteria you need.
You missed the point I wasn’t saying we were wrong. I was saying we get it pretty much spot on as I haven’t seen any of our youth players leave and go on to be of higher value other than those two.

All fa youth cup games are open to public, locations. Any but tickets must be on offer in the proper rounds
In all rounds mate. Even in the prelims there must be a turnstile and be in an enclosed ground it's one of the regulations as well as players having food, proper in the ground changing facilities etc(no traipsing across a public park). I've been to probably 20-ish over the last 3 seasons. Every one, even in the very earliest of rounds you have to pay on entrance.

There you go, ive only been to these since first round this year, lad was saying its all ticket based hence in a prooer stadium not training ground.

Do our lads play at the stadium for theirs?

Last year we lost in round 3 vs QPR and was played at Stevenage. I’ve tried to promote the club playing the game at Spurs Stadium

Hope we build our relationship with both Plymouth and Port Vale. They'll always need players. Send someone PVs way, Donley? Dorrington?

Mad how you can be on loan at one club for a few months, then suddenly recalled and sent somewhere else. You just about get settled in an area and BANG you're off elsewhere.

Good luck to Alfie and Ashley at Plymouth, will certainly be keeping an eye out on their games/results for the rest of the season.

Ah the link is the manager! Will hopefully keep using him. Suppose it's the same situation with Kieran McKenna at Ipswich, although it didn't work out for Scarlett. We've got some John McDermott disciples on speed dial it seems.

Definite lack of ambition. After many years at that training ground a move to Accrington Stanley would kill him. Maybe he is looking to go into coaching.
Philips attitude in the Plymouth game was so much different to the under 21. He seems to just stroll through youth games.
Plymouth away to Leeds in next round of the cup. Good test for him.
Hadn't thought of that but it's not a bad shout actually. We all assume that these guys are so desperate to be professional players that they'll drop down to whatever level on the pyramid they have to in order to make that happen. But maybe that's not what he wants from life. Maybe he doesn't fancy being a lower league journeyman turning out for Mansfield Town against Stockport County and has decided if he can't be a top-level player he'll try to be a top-level coach instead?

If that is the case then personally I think he'll regret not giving it more of a go, but that's just me and he might see life differently.

speaking of former youth players, i think kwp would/would've thrived as an ange inverted full back. playing inside and able to use his ability to turn away from pressure and move the ball forward would suit him perfectly. he never quite had the sheer athleticism to be a marauding full back at the top level but in this system i think he would've fit really well.
Club trained for europe, contract ends 2025 and can also play LB. Perisic is leaving, Sess and Reg's contracts end 2025, KWP back? Good utility option in the squad and like you say I think he has the skillset to do well in that role, it plays more to his strengths than Poch's demands (and even then he was better than the time or credit he was given imo)
