By getting all the youth groups to have the same philosophy and patten of play as the 1st team,
We will give them the best chance of making the step up, in my opinion.

Interesting to get a look at Moore and Ceesay against pretty elite opposition, as you know the Portuguese age group sides are gonna be some of the best in Europe. Moore's got such great quality in that right foot, but didn't really get into the game. I do wonder if his future's as a proper No 10 rather than off the left. Just not sure he's got that electric burst of pace for a wide man.

Ceesay didn't really get into the game at all. England's No 7 was pretty tricky if he fills out a little. Portugal No 11 was rapid if a little wasteful.
Moore’s ball control and dribbling is elite.

Look at this kid at Leeds. Bale regen? Probably missed the boat on him already but he looks like a player.

This is what I never understood during Conte’s reign. If the players below first r team are playing exactly the same style and system it’s easier to integrate them. We didn’t appear to do that previously.

I think he knew he was here for only a short time, so implementing club-wide things wasn't worth the energy.

He's 16, although he looks an absolute unit at 6'4 and very muscular. I realise that sometimes a young talent is good you've got to just get them in but it does feel a weird one when you consider that we have Dorrington & Phillips.

Not really though. The two you mention are also very young, and it’s too soon to tell how they will pan out. Having strength in depth like this is very smart. If only one turns into a good first XI player, that would be huge.

I really like what we’re doing with our recent transfers and putting some trust in Phillips/Dorrington

Someone’s already comparing him to Pique on his wiki page. No pressure lad.
Also how is it someone born in 2007 is a real person already? That was like last week!

As Romano says….we can’t have him till he is 18 yrs old. Presume he is loaned straight back to Hajduk.
There are shades of Paratici in this. Hope he turns out as successful as Doggie and Sarr.

Yeah but they're both like 19, 20?
This is succession planning for them, someone who's a couple of years younger and can fill the gap they leave, should they end up able to step up.

I'm totally all for this sort of signing, get these youngsters into the academy and let them grow.
It doesn't always work but it's something that we strayed away from for a while so I'm very happy to see us signing young talents again.

It's so good to see us paying attention to the academy again because in all reality, with the likes of City, Chelsea and (soon to be) Newcastle, this is our best chance of being competitive.
