Highlights of Alfie Devines debut for Port Vale. Exquisite free kick for their first goal and a very Kaneesque penalty.
I think this lad is going to make a good career for himself.

And another one for Alfie Devine. Post match interview.
Already learning all the cliches for your bingo cards "always a tough place to come/go" LOL

Paskotsi has had a tough couple of years with heart complications from Covid. Phillips and Dorrington are now probably ahead of him and Sayers.

Ashcroft at right back missed most of last season with injury but has come back strong.
Reading that scares me and I really hope he takes all the time he needs to be medically right and prioritises that over football.

Tell me if there's anything wrong! I'll modify it!
Didnt the U21s get relegated last season, so presumably this season is against weaker opposition?

It wasn’t his debut, it was his 3rd involvement in games!

For the people who regularly watch the youth, is Dorrington the next CB in line and does he look good enough to be able to step up somewhat?

Looks like it was also Devine that plays the awesome through ball to the striker, who is then fouled for the penalty.

I’ve just finished watching the U21 v Blackburn game on Spursplay. There’s plenty to enjoy about them, playing with a similar style to Ange’s mob.

I like Lankshear, he’s single minded (greedy), confident, and has a nice touch.

Donley has a lovely left foot, and is a grafter too.

Soonsup-Bell has a lovely touch, seems to have so much time on the ball, maybe needs to add a bit more to his work rate.

Lyons-Foster also very comfortable on the ball when under pressure.

It’s a fairly big turnaround in form from this time last year for this team. Pat on the back for Bennett, as I didn’t think they were much chop last year.

I started a twitter account a while back that keeps up to date with where former Spurs players are (please feel free to follow...). A lot of last season's releases are confirmed. But there are still who seem to be without a club. There's been a bit of noise about all other than Malachi Fagan-Walcott. Does anybody have any idea what's up with him? I would have thought he would have been one of the first to get snapped up:

Some of these lads just seem to go missing. Nya Kirby left Palace a yr ago and had no club for a year. Just resurfaced at Oxford City. Tariq Hinds was similar a couple of years ago…turned up in non league . Both those players were highly rated. Nya was in England under 17 World Cup winners squad.
Its as if they are too well looked after and when released find it difficult to get their heads round it.

The big test will be when playing proper teams in the efl cup. Colchester are first up in a couple of weeks. We look strong enough to give a good account of ourselves.
surprised so few went out on loan. Lyons-Foster seems to be used as an over age player. He’s 23 soon.
God knows what that’s all about.

I think Nya was a bit different, as he was much younger and also had the problems about not being allowed to register with Chelsea (I think?). Fagan-Walcott is 21 now, and fairly well thought of at Spurs all round. You'd think League One clubs would have been very interested. Maybe they still are of course.

I think the Chelsea thing was more they were going to sign him, but we let them know we would cause an almighty stink if they did so, arguing tapping up etc. so they backed off

What year did we sign Devine?
we also signed another young lad at the same time but for the life of me I can’t remember who it was.
