Very sad doesn't bode well for the summer then it's a case of cheap deals or nothing then.
I reckon it's what we're looking at this Jan. unless we shift those players that Poch doesn't rate - even then there are a whole host of question marks in regard to the players we may have earmarked and how much Poch thinks they can do for the team. I still think, like the summer we need at least one central mid to take the strain off of what we have now.

As far as the coming summer, I'll wait. I'm sure the more seasoned in here will have their doubts about investment, me included after what happened this summer. Thing is, it may be even more important this time round than how we all felt last time.

Three players short of really contesting with a doubt over another two (my onions) guess, as ever, we'll see it and believe it when it happens.

Then why didn't we seeing as we have had more scouts than Jimmy saville did.

We were in for Wijnaldum weren't we? And linked to Shaqiri although I don't think he was ever really a fit for us - he's cream at Liverpool.

Besides they would and have said the same about us and Dele; Son etc...

Sancho's the one that got away. And hurts. Fucking Oil slavers.

You look at Liverpool and in Robertson, Wijnaldum and Shaqiri they have three players bought from relegated clubs who could have enhanced our squad for the long and short term. Shows the importance of scouting. Throw in Salah who came in on the cheap and had turned in a couple of good performances against us in Europe.

We don't need to spend lavishly, we need to spend wisely.
Alli was a good example of great scouting but yes, we need more of that.

I'm not sure why the sancho deal didn't come off I presume unsurprisingly that we wouldn't pay the money.

Disappointing but not devastating. Some of the reactions in here are incredibly OTT. Poch came out in recent weeks to call out our fans for being overly negative, and this thread is a classic example. We've gone from brilliant to 'Spursy' in the space of three days? Give me a break.

It was an injury hit squad that had very little room for rotation or rest that ended up playing one game too many. Will we win the league? Highly, highly doubtful, but it's not over in December, and we're allowed a poor performance every now and again.

Get a grip, calm the fuck down, and keep the faith.
We are negative because it's fucking dejavu
I look at the Liverpool squad and player for player they are not better than us... I don't want to hear shit like there are no players to improve our squad. That's obviously crap.. We have gone from being the best defensive team to being pretty easy to score against. I know we have had injuries at the back but our organisation has still be poor and Lloris needs to be dropped and made to fight for his place he is really hopeless sometimes.

Todays Match kinda summed up what it is like to be a Spurs fan, Thick skins are needed if you Support this Club, am I frustrated ? all weekend this has ruined but do I love my club ? without question, I can just hope for 1 or 2 signings in the Summer as we take a better run at the League.

They probably said alright instead of 50 how about 45 and Levy shit his pants at the thought.

I really agree with that Lloris part FFS, 2 goals today he couldn't stop but Lloris is not to blame for our total Relaxed Effort

The sad thing is that had we brought in 2/3 like we should have done I think we may have been closer to the top than we currently are especially that CM position we are so weak in there.
I'm not convinced there will be any serious investment next summer still think it will be a case of cheap alternative deals with our dead wood taking a while to shift because we want so much money for them.
